Might be an option for kitchen top though.

Bro Ossify,

Thanks :)

It complements the stone tiles I use on the walls.

PS. I will also be adding some stainless steel backsplash (excess material from a client) and overlaying my Ikea countertop with Quartz in my kitchen. Stay tune!

Am using quartz countertop for my kitchen. You'll like the speckle effect of the quartz crystal

Met up with my quartz supplier to discuss on the details. Seems like I can simply overlay on top of my existing Ikea countertop :D

As it is 2cm thick, It will make my countertop thicker by 2cm on all sides, height, length, depth.

The look will be similar to this, but mine will have a 2inch backsplash.

cool. didnt know u have such a wide range of solid top to choose from. so, if i rank them in terms of quality and $$$, it should be: quartz > granite > acrylic > polyester. right?

yep. there's also marble too.

actually, granite can be cheaper than acrylic, depending on the brand of the acrylic.

decided not to post my quartz pics. the pics don't do justice to what it actually looks like, can't capture all the sparklies :(

anyway, here's an update on my shower situation (pushed it out a bit, changed the rainshower from Hansgrohe to Grohe. it looks brighter :), feels better :), but costs more :(

on another note, do check out the titanic flower (Amorphophallus titanum) that's about to bloom in Singapore Botanic Gardens!
