Bomb Shelter Door Handle

Recommended Posts

I am going for my 2nd appt soon and I remembered that the bomb shelter door handle was kind of spoilt (tilted to one side thou still can open and close)

In such case, should the seller rectify it before 2nd appt? In the 2nd appt hdb letter I was told to inspect before the possession date.

As a buyer, what should I do?

If u have a checklist countersigned by both as to what items to be rectified before possession, and seller failed to do so you have the right. If no checklist, u are at losing end.

The inspection is to check if any fundamentental changes (unauthorised installation, structural unsafe for human stay, etc)after deposit paid and right before physical possession, and not for things like door hander.

For fundamental items (unexpressed, without checklist), suggest you to

1. Check tiolets' ceiling for leakage.

2. Check electrical wirings for leak/under size/unauthorised installation.

Good luck.

Thanks!

because the inspection is to check fundamental change and not like door handle... it may be tricky here

we don't have a checklist maybe I will ask my agent but since the owner had moved out except there are things still there to be moved... wonder if they even care!

we had not taken possession cos our 2nd appt is only like end of this month...
