No, you can't tap light switch point for 3-pin socket.

The current use is different.

Your circuit breaker will trip.

So, I suppose, we change power point to lighting point, just insulated the neutral wire ? :(

No, you don't do that, as the lighting point needs the neutral and earthing wire as well.

Best is to tap lighting point from lighting point and 3pin socket point from 3 pin socekt point.

As the circuit loop is different.

The circuit breaker used is also different.

plus lighting point do not have earth point and 3-pin requires it.

Is it possible to tap of a light switch point for an additional power (3-pin) socket?

I am doing this all the time.. not sure why so many people say can not...

You can also have earth wire, in additional to live and neutral...

But one thing for sure, the current is max 5-6 A, use for low load devices like lights etc, otherwise it may trip... but still safe though..
