Some things cheap, some not so.. I think ultimately depends which item you have more in the house, no. of lighting? or number of power points? but of cos his switches are legrand.

What your ID has told you are just another market rate quoted by his electricians. I do it for my clients at $25.00 per relocation provided it's within

3 mtrs run of cables needed for the work.

I was quoted $800 to $850 with no breakdown of costs for the following electricial work:

Living room:

shift 2 lighting points

install 4 lighting point

install 1 ceiling fan, 3 downlights and 2 side T5

Kitchen:

Install and connect 1 hood point

Master bedroom:

Install 1 lighting point and 1 T5

Bedroom 2:

Install 1 lightpoint, 1 T5 and shift 1 switch

Bedroom 3:

Install 1 lighting point and install 1 T5

Installation of extra 11 sets of lights.
