Is This Air-tight Rubbish Chute Good? Feedback Please.

Recommended Posts

www.alphaconcepts.com.sg. This rubbish chute is suppose to be air-tight and cockroach proof.

Anyone used it before? Is it really better than the regular $180 rubbish chute?

Bull****, where got "air-tight" rubbish chute cover. "Liquid-tight" may be, IP55?

Explosion-proof box is really "air-tight" used for oil & gas industry.

- Typical saleman ! All rubbish chute covers are cockroach-proof, as long as the gap is small enough ,after closing not allow cockroach to crawl in.

Yes i was equally skeptical, but the ATS appears to be a patented system. Not easy to BS on patents rights...

But then again they did not put down the patent number!

no such thing as cockroach tight.... when u open, cockroach will run out. only way to prevent this is to knock knock the door a few times b4 u open the chute.

One effective way to prevent cockroaches from hanging around your rubbish chute is to pour soapy water eg. after washing dishes to wash it regularly and also spray insecticide around the lid inside - guarantee no cockroach wants to go near your rubbish chute.

write-up on the website seems convincing enough but pricing is almost double of the usual ones.
