calaislily 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 I'm wondering if it's possible to change wash basins in both MBR and 2nd bathroom? Anyone did this before please advise who should I go to for such jobs and is it possible to change the shape of the wash basin (e.g. oval to square) without having to go thru any major works? therat 18 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 wall mount or top mount type? If wall mount, can be done. Ask the shop who sell u the basin.. ask them to install for u. oval to sq .. can. I change mine from oval to sq too. Just make sure you get the dimension correct. Don't buy then realize not enough space

Hamster06 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 top mount.. this one I don't know liao. Top mount meaning the current sink just sit on the table top? If thats the case can. Just get those that's within your vanity top dimension. But if those semi-recess ones will be abit difficult. Coz you will need to get back the same shape or change the vanity top if i am not wrong. Andymion 1 Report post Posted August 25, 2010 Hmm.. for top mount type like what the other bros said, the easier way is to get something of the same dimension or smaller to fit it in. (smaller your contractor still can cover the gaps but bigger will not be able to sit in). However, if you wanna change from oval to square, that would take a lot more work. You probably have to hack away the current basin support. I wanted to change my mbr basin to those double basin and was quoted $80-$100 for the hacking and $400-$450 for the new basin support and installation of the new basin.
