Is It Better To Buy Lightings On Our Own Or Together With Id?

Me and my ID will b shopping for lightings for my new home soon. Saw some lightings which i really like recently. The price they offer is also very good. Heard from someone that when buying lighting on my own, can get a much better (a.k.a at a very discounted) price than when buying together with my ID. Is this true or not? Anyone pls share ur views n experiences?

Advice is to get them yourselves...ID usually want to bring u to shops that they can earn commission & so u buy at higher price.

However, you need to get advice from ur ID on what types & sizes of lights to get based off your design layout.

i prefer to get them w/o ID. we will not be limited to that one shop and we are able to shop around for better deals
