meimei! Here is the recipe i am going to try tom~

Pandan Chiffon Cake

100g top flour (think i will use plain flour)

1 tsp BP

1 tsp pandan paste

100ml coconut milk

35ml/g corn oil

1/4 tsp green colouring

5 egg whites

4 egg yolks (forgot to write this the last round x____x )

1/4 cream of tartar

100g castor sugar

pinch of salt

Instructions

a) Preheat oven to 170 deg c

b) Prepare Mixture A

  1. Mix pandan paste to coconut milk
  2. Add yolks, 50g sugar, oil, colouring and salt to coconut mixture. mix well using hand whisk.
  3. Sift flour and BP and fold into mixture. Set aside.

c) Prepare Mixture B

  1. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar at high speed until foamy. Add remaining 50g sugar and beat till stiff.

d) Combine

  1. Add 1/3 mixture B to A and mix using hand whisk (this becomes mixture C)
  2. Slow fold in mixture C into the remaining 2/3 mixture B
  3. Pour mixture into ungreased 18cm chiffon cake tin and bake for abt 50 mins
  4. Turn tin over on cake rack to cool before loosening cake

ahh i baked the pandan chiffon liao, a few mistakes and then the whole cake didn't come out as planned from the tin hahahaha

Feedback:

1) Sweetness just right

2) Not fluffy enough

3) Put the mold in the oven and forgot to set the timer hahaha i had to agar agar the time.. came out a little bit undercooked, but still tasty : )

i had tried your recipe. its better than what i had.... but i made some adjustment, i use slightly less oil and i don't use green colouring as my pandan paste already have green colour. hehehehe... very yummy and i can make 6 in less than 2 hours!!!
