Sequence Of Renovation Works

I will be getting the keys to my BTO flat next month and I am going through this forum and it's indeed a place for valuable information!

I was thinking, what is the normal sequence of renovation works?

Should it be like:

1. Do up the tiles

2. Installation of air con first or painting first?

3. Installation of bedroom cupboards, kitchen cupboards etc

I think the list of items is much more exhaustive than what I have listed but I'm just trying to get a feel of things.

Also, what's the normal payment mode like? Is it like 10% downpayment, then the 90% will be paid upon completion of certain items like bedroom cupboard etc.

Hope experts will guide me here so that I won't get lost when my renovation adventure starts next month!
