Advice Needed: Tempered Glass On Kitchen Wall

Hi

The kitchen wall tiles of the resale flat which I just bought are quite outdated and I wanted to cover this with tempered glass.

I was quoted S$998 for "Supply labour & materials to fabricate 5mm thk tempered glass backing, Measurement: 5700mm (L) x 750mm (H)"

Does anyone here able to advise me if this is a reasonable quote? :S

To add: the ID said this is 'spray paint tempered glass' so it's more expensive ?
