Ez's Humble Abode

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just a brief introduction. We are a pair of mid 20s newlyweds who just tied the knot earlier in January.

By saying we're more than excited to build a home together for the first time is a downright understatement.

Therefore, we decided to sign up for an account and share our renovation process with everyone (if anyone bothers at all) and hopefully, along the way, getting advices from renovation "virtuosos" and of course, making new friends!!

There were some challenges we faced while looking for a suitable unit where the BOTH of us could go yeah.

In a perfect world, we wanted a corner unit for privacy, high floor, properly conditioned and all sorts. God willing, we found 1. Unfortunately, not the corner unit but the unit just beside the corner unit (which means only 1 unit will pass by your windows on a daily basis). As long as we're not the greeting unit (Mrs' lingo for units beside the lift and stairwell), we're good. No offences to those who are situated in greeting units.

This is a "collage" of the unit we decided to pen our signature on:

current.jpg

It was a pretty well-maintained unit and we were "slapped" for our underestimation (trust me when I say it's an unintentional phobia. it came from previous units) when we first entered. Mrs while scrutinising the place, leaked an expression of approval but still not succumbing to biasness. Eventually, the magical presence of warmth in the unit and not needing to cringe our toes as we explore further, we acquiesce..

Exactly right.

Hacking's starting this Thursday followed by tiling...

Spent last weekends running islandwide to purchase the needs and wants. Will consolidate photos and details when I get time.

In the meantime, can someone tell me if Hoe Kee's still selling the infamous black Blanco Metra sink?

Hi May,

Mine's a 3-room flat and the living area is pretty small compared to 4/5 rooms and above. I would believe the wind power should be sufficient to satisfy people sitting on the sofa (under the fan) which is the main purpose.
