if don't want, most of the Town council provide this service. check with your town council.

My TC has - Replacing a letterbox lock $20 exclude GST.

Your letterbox is old type HDB one?

Take a photo and go to HW shop and buy.

I bought mine @ $20 and change myself - easy.

u can try calling sam 9788 3002 he changed for me but definately not so low la the price. cant remember mine how much think 70? probably $50 for his effort to come down to change.

Yah, very easy to change. 10mins the most..

A small adjustable spanner will do the job.

The original HDB lock has a rivet at the centre of the lockset, can explain how to remove the rivet ?

Rivets are normally removed using drills.

Start with a small diameter drill and increase progressively.

Battery Cordless Drills.... 10.8v type should do the job.

I called one of the locksmiths after googling for it. They are charging me $50 to change the letterbox lockset (not including set). I asked if I can get a discount if I also want to change main door lock for my new place..his impatient reply was "It's like buying 2 cars, where got discount? We are locksmiths you know!"

So this info comes in handy!

If anyone has friendly and good licensed locksmith to recommend for my main door lock...pls let me know.
