winwin 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2014 Hi allA noobie who just bought a resale place. Hired an ID to redo the whole house. On the painting, they insist that they would only paint 1 coat then install carpentry. After that then another coat. Is that correct? I am terribly unhappy that they did not paint some of the walls then installed the carpentry too. Then now claiming that if they take down the carpentry, there would be alot of wall plugs and what not so not nice anymore! What crap! Can anyone with resale painting experience advise? Thanks. gemini 8 Report post Posted March 24, 2014 I will insist painting on all walls regardless cover by furniture or not. Refer to your contract, usually painting is quoted for whole house so you have a case to ask for repaint. My ID quoted 3 ply - base colour / after carpentary / final touch up.
