Stove Under Beam In Kitchen

Recommended Posts

Hi Mr Chong,

Would like to check with you whether it is okay to place the stove below the beam that run across the kicthen to the opposite wall (the toilet side)? This beam runs in the middle of the kicthen, so doing some space planning, but do we need to avoid it?

Thanks.

Hello galsparkle

There's no problem at all. In fact I see it as good.

Hi Mr Chong, how about beds under beams or L-Box etc...? Beams, L-Box and etc pretruding covering your head.

Sorry to ride on your topic again, galsparkle.

Hello mojo

If beds are under beams, then naturally a person will be sleeping under it. In most cases, the person will still be feeling tiredness the next day or even headaches. Of course, such symptoms won't develop overnight. It may take months or even years.

It is more fortunate to know that there's a beam above. Nowadays, many houses have false ceilings to camouflage the unsightly beams.

Not to worry too much about beams and such over your head. Not every beam will give you problem. Maybe the place you are sitting (if you're staying on a lower floor) already have dozens of dinning tables or beds over you!!
