Just sign with DeFong on last Sunday with William and will be starting end May.

Went to their office and saw a few guys (including Jeremy) there too, personally they are friendly and thus the contractor engaged shd be the same.

Most impt factor whether to engage or not, u must feel comfortable with ur ID and of course the price is right to your budget

Take care

Hi, sorry for taking so long time to post my testimony on DEFONG.

I was served by Jeremy. As noted in some earlier posts, I consider Jeremy's service as very good in Singapore standard. He is conscientious and willing to help. He is easy to get in touch with too. If he can't take your call he will call you back asap. But please DON'T SMS him, as I don't think he has time to reply, let alone read them.

Overall, the quality of DEFONG's sub-contractors are satisfactory. I especially like the masonry work - laying of the tiles, for e.g. in my kitchen, the floor was done in such a way that when I wash the floor, water flows into the outlet smoothly. Capentry is also fine, just that the sub-contractor's workers' attitude was not very nice. The sub-contactor for lighting was not so good..did not pay attention to what I said and almost did the wrong things. The worst is the workers who installed the toilet fixtures. There was a brown stain in one of the toilet bowl and it was suppose to be brand new!? So in the end, Jeremy got to come all the way to my house and remove the stain. Also the worker left cement and stain on both the wash basins. They are supposed to be brand new but no they don't look brand new, sigh.

Yes, I would recommend DEFONG and Jeremy to anyone. Considering the services and costs, I think DEFONG is a very good bet.

The sub-con for lighting and especially the painting (The painters) were not very good. But tiling and carpentry were not too bad. I believe is normal for sub-con to use the toilets? I had also encountered the cement on the drainage. I removed myself though.

Considering the competitive prices it offers, I feel is worth the bet.

I thought the date to proceed was to be confirmed with you? Anyway, To be done works will be fast. But expect some delays on single issue/problem. Other than that, should be normal.

William liaised with me for the last remaining job and the impression was good. The advice he gave on the colours was spot-on and I believe he will do a good job for your house.

Read through this thread, seems like William & Jeremy quite popular and can deliver. Will be shortlising and make the approach soon. Anyway, anyone who wishes to recommend them feel free to do so. I copy & paste a part I put up in other threads too...

"Hi, I'm getting my new flat in Punggol soon and wish to do up the entire home..

I feel word-of-mouth and getting referred by clients of good IDs/Contractors will be a good start to get some quotations. Anyone here who feels your ID/contractor did a good job and deserves your recommendation? Can refer him to me? If there is a blog/photos to back-up, it will make the recommendation very much stronger than just mere words.

Appreciated~"
