I have LAN cables to 2nd floor 3 bedrooms from the 1st floor tv console where the router is located. For 2nd floor, using laptop/desktop which require faster Internet speed then use the cable data point, else use WiFi, however if using WiFi 2.5G connection the signal is stronger than 5G.

My 2 cents Given that bank interest rates are hovering around 1.5% and CPF OA returns 2.5%, it is wiser to just take the maximum bank loan and keep your CPF OA monies. When bank interest rates get higher than 2.5%, use all your CPF to do partial repayment of the bank loan.

Hi kelhy, this is how the back of the TV and the inside of the console looks like. It is rather tidy at the moment as I have yet to get a Blu-ray home theatre system as well as an Intel NUC hooked up to it. For the Intel NUC, I will likely wait for the 5th generation processors (Broadwell) refresh which is widely expected to be available in Q4 this year. Having a NAS stream contents onto your computers, TV, smart phones and other devices is just so convenient. The added cloud feature means I can access the contents from anywhere with an internet connection, which has proven very useful at times when I have forgotten to sync videos onto my phone for my daily commute.
