I thought thess changes may be important to some people here in case you miss out on the papers. Second-Timers Buying a New EC 4 To align the purchase of new ECs with the Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS), second-timers buying a new EC unit from the developer will no longer have to pay the resale levy. The revised policy will take effect for the purchase of new EC units commencing from Punggol E4. First-Timer EC Buyers Allowed to Buy a Second Subsidized Flat 5 A first-timer who buys a new EC will be allowed to purchase a second new EC, HDB or DBSS flat, subject to prevailing eligibility conditions. However, as ECs are considered private housing, ex-EC owners will have to wait 30 months following the disposal of their ECs, before they can apply to purchase a new EC, HDB or DBSS flat. There is no debarment period if ex-EC owners choose to buy a resale flat. Under prevailing policy, first-timers who purchased new EC units from developers are permanently debarred from subsequently buying another new EC, HDB or DBSS flat. HDB will lift the permanent debarment policy with immediate effect. 6 Like all second-timers, an EC owner who had enjoyed a CPF housing grant when he purchased his EC will be required to pay a resale levy if his second flat is a new HDB flat. As new HDB flats are sold at subsidized prices, the objective of the resale levy is to reduce the subsidy enjoyed by the second-timer on his second subsidized flat. The resale levy is fixed at $55,000 for ex-EC owners, and payable when booking the new HDB flat. The levy is not payable if the EC owner opts to buy a new EC or DBSS flat, as they will be paying market prices as determined by the developer.

Dear Homeowners, Anyone encounter contractor (Elementz Design) Liquidation after collect deposit? I'm facing this and wonder I should do. Has anyone heard of T.I Construction? They claim to be taking over Elementz but I'm not sure I can trust them with more payment. thanks! Debbie

I followed this thread and called jasmine from central aluminium to remove the shutters and install top hung window at $245. With HDB permit approved. They cut a hole according to the fan I ordered from taobao. The fan is around S$15 include shipping. So cheap I ordered 2. Shipped via Taobao direct consolidated shipping service prouter. This fan has auto shutters meaning when switched off, the flap before will auto close. So no insects will fly in. Previously I had an electrician route a power supply (linked to one of the lights). So I connected the rest, I wasn't sure how but I followed and match the colours of the wire. For safety, I flipped the main power circuit before doing so. It worked! Heres a pic, I haven't cap on the frame. Need to cut a hole on top for the wire. Without frame also quite nice. Hesitated for 2 years before doing Reason: to reduce humidity during bath. Last december was the rainy season... towels dry very slow and bad smell

My 5 Room Resale house was fully renovated by Carpentry Design just a month ago. Recommended my army reservists buddy, Darren for his 4 rm Premium BTO unit as well. (Went for his house warming recently) Fact we've made comparison of the final output of their Carpentry quality with mine. Flawless (i should comment)...with exact materials that stated in our contract as 70% of Darren house was Carpentry installation. In addition of his Free System 3 Mitsubishi A/C. All other free gifts was delivered and transparent. Hence the term FRAUD i found it ABSURB. All the things and works was delivered according to my contract. My ID was Jordan Lim. Me and my wife is very happy with the final output. Especially their carpentry. The materials that they used is very solid plywood with BLUM hinges and drawers and the internal cabinet is coloured laminate without additional cost. The affordable reno costs that we paid are totally worth it. There are still touch ups here and there but all this are minor things which can be rectified. My house was designed by Lyne with a touch of her elegant designs and she is very open with ideas. Thus, Like any other IDs in SG.....slight hiccups are inevitable. Its how each and individual home owners took it. And knowing them, they handle lots of projects hence maybe production is very tight especially peak period from December holidays to Chinese New Year. Well i got no further comments. To all home owners, Good Luck! If you found someone that you trust and comfortable in communicating, go ahead. I found mine and i am one satisfied customer.

Lol.. So the company motto is low price and free gifts so we can delay and clients should accept? I see.. As a consumer and like many others in this thread, we also prefer to seek reviews from a number of actual clientele.. If posts by the company is enough for you then that's great.. For you.. Honestly, im also puzzled by your response.. What is "So u are telling me that your fren was also cheated which is paid to the company (Carpentry) and the company cheated your fren also? Is it???"
