Finally to start off with my Tblog for my humble abode. Been reading up Renotalk forum for 2 years plus and bless you all for the knowledge i have gained in preparation for this renovation journey for my first flat for my family. It will be very basic and very simple 4Rm budget of around $30k- $35k all in with electronics, which most are self sourced to save overall cost. If you find any information useful in my Tblog, you can always drop a PM or quick reply. It will be updated periodically as renovation hasn't started so i can't grade my ID just yet as it would be favouritism and plain lying. It looks like replies are coming in and fortunately i manage to reserved 9 post for my Tblog thus i will cover everything in the first page of 9 post so all renovation newbies need not click click click and click like i did in the past to leech information from the forum. Update as of 1st week april - finally gotten my keys from hdb toa payoh. 1. remember to get your fire license and activation of your gas/electrical/water and you are good to leave the place and start off with your renovation journey. Took some photos of the view from my unit. the following is taken from one of my bedroom room. kinda near to the building on the right..lousy design and placement. people can see my masterbedroom from their service yard.well done hdb..force me to get curtains liao.. this one is taken from my service yard. not to bad i got a semi unblock view with wind coming in..maybe my clothes will dry faster... this is taken from my living room.one of the better views by far of all my rooms but too bad i can see puggol park pond.

Hi, If we let you take measurement on first week of April, can we get the house done in 2 weeks? 1) Living Room window grills 2) 3 X Bedroom window grills 3) Dining Area window grills 4) Remove of kitchen casement window (small one) and seal back the existing. Hi Ken/Sharon - Thanks for renovating my place. We love the new look! (@ Waterplace) Review for anyone in the process of selecting a ID: Last year, when we decided to give our house a new look, we spent a quite sometime visiting several ID’s. We narrowed down to 2 ID’s. Finally we decided to move forward with Interior Doctor, as we found Ken and Sharon full of enthusiasm and determined to convert our ideas and requirements into reality. Just providing our view/experience on the below: Budget: they were in the middle of the range of ID’s we were talking to. So our selection was not just based on price. Design: They discussed with us in detail on how to ensure the design meets our requirements/budget/practicality. They were happy to provide several iterations of the 3D when we asked them for changes. They were quick to point out if they believed that any of our suggestions would not look good as the final output. Ken and Sharon complement each other - Ken is good in designing and Sharon helped ensure aesthetics. Quality: The work quality was good. And they were happy to correct any discrepancy/defect I pointed out to them. Special mention of their carpenter supervisor who made multi visits to our place to make small touch-ups here and there. Timeliness: We faced certain hiccups along the way with regards to adherence to timelines. My understanding was that they were swamped with new projects and this stretched the availability of the contractors. I did get annoyed with the delay, but they made it up with quality. After-service: After all the payments were done, I noticed a minor defect in my feature wall. Ken quickly arranged a visit by carpenter supervisor who helped to rectify the issue. Most of their workers were good and polite. All in all, we are happy with our renovated house. Both Ken and Sharon are very hardworking people who are passionate about their profession and help to meet expectations in their delivery. Happy to refer Interior Doctor (Ken/Sharon) to my friends.
