  9. Thanks for the encouragement Lovely! Wrote the post rashly earlier on and I felt there were things which i needed to clarify further so i reposted.
  10. Dear all who are reading this and the owner Billy, Disgruntled and upset, we believe it is only right that we clarify this defaming post which we were only notified of today. We are sorry to hear that Billy is so unsatisfied with us that he needs to put up this post and especially the suggestive title, which has badly damaged our reputation. And unfortunately, we are not GG321 and is neither in any way related to him/her. To GG321, thank you very very much for your trust, support and good words. We are sorry that you have to bear the suspicions. Seriously arowana, we are not little kid who ‘pretends’ to be someone else just to get ourselves into good books. And if you want to check out the IP address or anything else, please do. Thanks to those who waited for our reply, to be fair to us, and to listen to both sides of the story. Firstly, in Billy’s case, it was never meant to be an easy resolvable situation. We are not the sole contractor, we were only one of the contractors engaged by Billy, and there were a total of 4 groups of contractors for his renovation. Because of this, we had initially not wanted to take up this project but Billy’s wife wanted us to proceed with the chosen renovation items. No, the renovation was not delayed for months and it could not have been. We were only in charge of the kitchen cabinets, a platform in master bedroom, grilles and some glass works. The first contractor was given time to do up the flooring and kitchen cabinet base before we could proceed with the measurements for the kitchen cabinets. The cabinets were done up within 2 weeks and there were no signs of rusty hinges and dish rack. The kitchen cabinet were not done wrongly either. They were done after 3D drawings were confirmed. We had done up 2 medium drawers and a large drawer. Billy then complained the drawer being too big for a cutlery tray so we compromised and gave him a discount of $100. To clarify on the rusty hinges, we provided Billy’s kitchen cabinets with BLUM hinges with soft closing. They turned rusty only after another contractor did an acid wash of the unit and had not taken proper care during the cleaning process. By working in the Aerospace industry, Billy should know this basic principle that acid corrodes metal. And the sink problem? Our plumber only installed the sink and connected the PVC outlet pipes. If the floor trap has choked, Billy should be looking for the contractor who constructed the cabinet’s base. Sorry, but Billy is not as polite and nice as he claimed he is. Just like his posts, he is short tempered, swears and once bangs on table while talking to us. Our carpenter was intimidated by that. We have to admit that our carpenter was very reluctant to help him proceed with the rectification works. The defect works which were resulted from our renovation was eventually rectified and these that Billy has mentioned above were ‘additional defects’ after our works had been completed. Handling a fussy and demanding owner has never been difficult with this exception. After our works were completed, Billy claimed the parquet flooring had scratches and was dented but we had our protection sheets on during the carpentry work. He demanded that we varnish the parquet but we held our stand as he engaged so many different groups of contractors who were moving in and out of the house concurrently, and so we could not be held responsible for all the defects. The parquet was ultimately rectified by the first contractor. Billy had also engaged a separate carpenter for his TV console. The TV console was installed and later deemed unsatisfactory by Billy and was rejected and removed. The TV console was unpaid for. These accusations by the owner are really unfair to us. Please understand our situation that we cannot possibly accede and rectify every single issue mentioned here. There were simply too many contractors involved and these issues did not exist immediately after we completed our works but is now deemed as bad workmanship and quality provided. Out of goodwill, we arranged with Billy’s wife to help them resolve the problems. But shockingly as Billy’s wife called up to arrange for the rectification works to be done this coming Thursday, her husband was posting these ridiculous and untrue comments against our company here at the same time. We were simply caught off guard and believe that in such a situation, it is regrettable that we will not be rectifying the problems stated anymore as we will be acknowledging the cause of these ‘defects’ and will appear to be carrying the works because we are afraid of the comments made by Billy. And Billy will neither be a satisfied and grateful owner even if we have extended our services further. The problems were difficult to resolve for Billy because of the numerous contractors engaged. To avoid such difficulties, we hope owners try to stick to minimal contractor(s). And frankly, these are just minor issues in renovation that were blown up by Billy. We have always maintained good relationships with our customers, but unfortunately this time we are unable to. If Billy could have been nice and not resorted to such postings, we are sure there is room for negotiation. We are not shirking any responsibility here but we certainly do have to reclaim our reputation that we have built over the years. Also, we hope customers be fair and square to all renovators. It may not always be the renovators’ fault that things turn sour and we do wish that you pass a fair judgement on us. Thanks to those who have waited to listen to our side of the story. We are taking this defaming matter seriously as it will tarnish our reputation. We have contacted the forum’s moderator who will monitor the thread and act accordingly.

  16. Hi, Just checked, KDK discontinue A11YS model (Price: $188) and replacing with new KDK M11SU coming in end of March But you can check around for balance stock. (Balance 1 white and 2 silver for my side) What colour do you looking at? Regards, Joel
  17. Hi, Depending on which company to quote. Some of the contractors quoted about $240 - $280 but some ID will quote around $240 - $360 each with lever lock So it depending on the individual company. (Not only doors) Some of the consumer will ask " is the price reasonable" how to measures and who can justify? For us that in the reno industry really not easy, sometimes received floor plan and a list of requirements but very hard to compare and quote at carpentry works because if we want the job then we have to quote low but how to design with this low price cos consumer don't even know what they're receiving? I saw the advertisement on papers few years back "20 feet kitchen cabinet at $1,288" then i was surprise by the price so i called the company to check. This is the answer Top 10 feet + Bottom 10 feet but the Top cabinet HEIGHT IS ONLY 2 FEET HIGH (usually will cover up to ceiling height for HDB and selected Condo) if you need to fabricate to your ceiling height then top up $300. HIDDEN COST? $150 for delivery and $450 for installation Total = $1,288 + $300 + $150 + $450 = $2,188 if 20 feet cabinet not enough then additional $120 per feet. (It is reasonable to charge delivery? cos is a 20 feet cabinet if you buy a sofa, tv console or dining table they will charge you right so it fair and for the installation charge $450 is quite standard cos if you purchase furniture from DIY shop or IKEA there is a assembly service so it fair too) But so far i have not done this before............. Just for your info and forgive me if i have offended you...... Regards, Joel
