  1. Hi meepley, i'm breaking my walls to open up the kitchen too. How did your ID or contractor advise you on stuff like paint type and maintenence?
  2. You air-brush or hand paint? For me air-brush is too expensive during my days so i just draw the panel lines. Nowdays got custom decals for the model kits also. BTW what type of model kits you're playing with? vehicles or mecha like gundam?
  3. One problem is my renovation budget. As i'm rehauling the whole unit, even when i'm doing minimal and basic works the budget is at least 25k... considering tiling kitchen will cost a few k more it's a major portion of the reno works.
  4. Ok i'm in a pinch now. Are painted kitchen walls really hard to maintain? One ID i visited told me that kitchen walls need to be painted with epoxy paint cos normal cannot withstand the amount of activity in the kitchen. Can anyone verify this?
  5. Wah i used to do a lot of model kits in my younger days but i gave up due to the high cost involved and the 1001 other hobbies i have which include digital photgraphy.... Somehow my hobbies all seem to require an absurd amount of monies... and i think once my own home is ready..... model kits might come back into my life again....... Oh and phantom here's a local webbie where quite a few hobbyist frequent for model kits, figures and stuff. www.hobbyhype.com The price they quoted you is for JP set or US set? Although can "ahem" but personally i'll prefer english interface which doesn't burn the eyes lol.
  6. Okok thanks thanks... now my head is spinning with numbers from those quotations. Haiz
  7. Great finally found someone! So how do you find the quality Air? I got a quotation from Gplan at about $4.50 psf what do you think?
  8. Ok i'll pop a quick question before you guys leave for home. Anyone of you hard of Power Decor laminate flooring?
  9. You'd never know the vast amount of information that can be picked up from girls' random chit-chats. Anyways t's good to kill some time rather than staring at quotations day and night
  10. haha no intention to stalk la... just that i'm a lone ranger in my office and nowdays surfing renotalks everyday so come here when surf until nothing to surf
  11. Actually i've been lurking around this thread for a while just watching you guys chit-chat. Don't dare to interupt hahaha...
  12. Hmm for me i knock off at 8pm and having been in the SAF for 8 years i already lost touch with commercial working hours already
  13. hehe i come kaypo can? :X wah you guys still at office? haven't knock off?
  14. yeah with the new BMI directive in SAF the Wii is more priority now good for lazy fishers like me lolx
  15. Ohoh Wii can "ahem" already ah? Guess i lost touch with TV game consoles... Chances is i'll still get both though lol. PS3 default as blu-ray player and the cheapest one around :X This way the reasoning more valid hahaha....
  16. I'm also thinking of getting a Wii if i have leftover budget from my furnishing funds but i'm torn between PS3 and Wii. The graphics on PS3 really blew me away and being region-free is a big big plus point. Wii on the other hand is a great console for the family and can seems a good way for the usual couch potato to keep fit( i hope). But the bad thing is the region-lock rule Maybe get both? I keep trying to deceive myself to think that PS3 can save costs to buy a blu-ray player anyway hahaha....
  17. I was asked a very enlightening question when i was out running around for reno quotations. If someone requests for a 10-15ft uncut solid surface, can! why cannot. BUT, how are we going to bring it to your house? How tall is a standard lift? Length of staircase? If i remember correctly the standard length should be 6-8ft for practicability.
  18. Wii has region lock that restricts the sets to play only games from their region. US set can play only US games while JP sets can only play JP games. Which area you stay in Phantom? I try to recall whether is there any reputable neighbourhood shops. Opps forgot can see your t-blog. Since you live in Simei you can try playboxx at tampines. They have a webbie you can go have a look or give them a call to ask the pricing. Playboxx
  19. Has anyone heard of or used Power Decor Laminated Flooring? Any feedback about the quality will be deeply appreciated.
  20. Are you using ceramic or homo tiles? Lets just hope they are "Wuhua" instead of their brand name
  21. For those wanting to search more specifically these curtains are called norens.
  22. Actually both of them is 1 side mickey 1 side minnie so i think it's 1 pair of 35 year old and 1 pair look like when mickey and minnie reach 60 /faint....
  23. The 4 letter limit is killing me so i decided to start a new post. Anyone had their home done by Lian Gek Ho before? I left an online enquiry with Hbay and they got back to me. This Mrs Liang whom i was talking to sounded pretty sincere so i'm gonna drop by one of their flats which they just finished renovating. Looking for forumers who had experience with them to leave advices~~
  24. Not to mention people like me who loves to keep all the boxes from everything i buy...
