Richman, I would not be altering any of the current flat's layout. I have also decided to get a new fridge. Either the slim Nano Titanium model from Hitachi or Baby Folio series from Mitsubishi. My wife and I don't really like the idea of shifting the fridge to the current dining area. In addition, would most probably go to IKEA to buy add-on storage cabinets that can be fitted onto the wall.

Was wondering if anyone had bought Miele W562 Prestige Plus (Made in Germany) washing machine? Was highly recommended when I shopped at Best Denki on this German brand. It's very costly at $1788 (RCP). Seems like paying a lot for a washer but all parts are made in Germany and only Best Denki and Harvey Norman are the only agents selling this brand. Any feedback from the forumers here?

Better for ur ID to wake up before he gets FIRED the following day for such "BIG F**K" attitude. That's why I say that Big ID companies doesn't mean good service. It's thru recommendation and viewing of those completed units that he has done, then u have clearer resolution who to choose as ur ID.

Today had a hectic day handling my house moving. I engaged Elite Movers to do my moving. They were very efficient and very careful with my delicate furniture. Price quoted is reasonable considering I had 75 boxes plus other big items like beds, wardrobes etc. Their service can be comparable to Shalom Movers. Currently, all my furniture will be stored in their warehouse for a month before I shift to my new place on 27 Dec.

Your unit is as big as a new 5rm flat in SK or Punggol. You also have a big living room. Congrats on ur new place. Looking forward to the reno progress pics.

The moment you let go some news that you are selling your flat, agents would start calling you or knocking on your door asking them to give them exclusive rights. Somemore must give them 2% selling commission (before new HDB guideline got implemented), if not, they are not motivated. They would give a lot of excuses like that they have spent a lot on newspaper advertistments, a lot of time spent in marketing your unit etc. The moment you tell another agent that you have given exclusive rights to a agent, he/she would definitely not bringing potential buyers to your unit becos they are not willing to co-broke. Furthermore, a lot of agents like to bring PRs (Indians, Chinese) up to flats not to promote your unit, but to compare and say that their advertised units are better. Your unit becomes a showflat (ghost unit)for others to make comparison. A lot of viewers do not mean your unit is good or attractive. It would only be good if there are black and white offers coming in (with cheque). Verbal offers do not mean anything.

For info, HDB do not recognise private arrangements between buyers and sellers. After the 2nd appt (completion date), you are the legal owner of the unit. If the current sellers engage any illegal activities like gambling, renting out to illegal overstayers etc, you would definitely be implicated becos you can't just simple say I don't know. What if they accidentally damaged some of their interior decor, are they going to pay you back compensation? There's no such such thing as free stay. You should have at least collected 2 months of rental (market rate) from them since you have already started payign for your "new" flat.

I bought a Sophistication mattress with Broadway bedframe. Came with bed bench, 2 pillows, mattress protector and 2 toy sheep. Total of $4070 (inclusive of bed frame with costs $500)

I seriously need to seek advice from the forumers here. I am aware that I would have to hand over the keys during the 2nd HDB appt. But due to some reasons, I would have to extend my stay by 1 more month. If the buyer does not want to accept my offer of a month's compensation, what are the legal implications and what is the financial penalty I would have to fork out? Pls advise. Thks.

Thinking of mounting a 32" LCD TV... is it possible to take a look at the interior of the wardrobe to see how is being done? Btw, e white colour of the console is being painted by the previous owner or is come like this? thanks Unfortunately, i don't have pics of the interior wardrobe as I would only be shifting in end of the year. The back of the built in wardrobe is a false partition. Painted the same colour as the surrounding walls.

Hi, the resale flat which I bought has exactly what u wanted to do up. The ex-owners mounted a 20" LCD TV behind the built-in wardrobe. Looks ok to me. Perhaps, u don't mount anything bigger than 30" due to the weight.

I got this clock when I played Timezone Games Arcade games for points. Exchanged it for abt 2000 points. Think I spent quite a lot before I managed to exchange for the clock. It looks exactly the same as the Twemco version. You can try this website: revive home.com . Another location you can try is East Zing located on the 3rd floor of Marina Square. The larger one is selling for $175. The smaller version is selling for $139. There are actually quite a few colours available. Hope this helps.

A 5rm unit with 4 bedrooms. That's huge! What's the floor area of the flat? However, not many would dare to buy such an "expensive" flat bearing in mind the current economy outlook. But with zero COV, u already have some cost savings liao. Just buy furniture and move in lor. Gd luck! -
Thks. Already burnt a BIG pocket in my pocket liao when i paid the HIGH COV of $45k! I thought instant heater gives continuous hot water thru the shower head. The only advantage of storage heater is that it can provide hot/cold water for the wash basins etc if you do the necessary piping. Currently, I was quoted abt $1k for piping charges alone, bear in mind the storage heater only cost abt $300.

Does anyone have any recommendation for nice looking living room divider wall display? Another question, does installing a storage heater in the MBR toilet increase the water pressure as compared to installing an instant heater as I have heard several differing comments.
