  1. I predict that the remote sensor pcb board on the unit is spoilt. The same situation happened to my previous hitachi aircon. I bought the spare part from Hitachi to change it myself and cost less than $50 if i'm not wrong. If you are a diy person, maybe you can locate the remote sensor pcb board and exchange it with another working unit's to try it out and troubleshoot.
  2. Had my system 3 aircon done up 2 weeks ago by Ah Boon & Team. Verdict: Impressive Job, Highly Professional and Highly Recommended ! Got Aron and Ah Boon contact from this forum. Was deciding between 3 companies: GC, Imperial and Star Cool (Aron & Ah Boon) and finally decided to go ahead with them. Liasing with Aron was very swift and his response is very fast, reply within a day. On the day of installation, Ah boon and his team arrived on time at around 11am. After all their stuff are up at my unit, Ah Boon double confirmed with me the layout of the piping while his team of 2 other workers started to tear down my old aircon and piping. Everything was very swift and fast. Ah boon and his team did not waste time chatting or using their phone etc... during installation. (Ah Boon's phone was ringing with calls and SMS and yet he did not answer or reply while doing installation. Now i know why Ah Boon's reply is slow, please bear with him and it's worth the wait to get his service.) Their lunch was fast in less than 30 minutes and started working immediately after eating. By around 5pm, installation was all complete and they left at around 6pm after cleaning up. Piping was very neat and workmanship was impressive as compared to my previous installation by another Big Company. From enquiry to installation was around 2 weeks and I'm glad i've waited for their services.
  3. Can you locate the screws etc. ? Should be able to diy dismantle to save the money.

    Skk Paint

From my observations, a lot of contractors for commercial are using that brand.
  5. Thanks bro Edmund ! Been a great advice. Cutting shouldnt be a problem but i guess i just need to experiment on the trimming part.
  6. Hi Bro. Have some questions on using formica. 1) What is the best way to cut formica ? Heard that i need to score a line and break it in opposite direction ? 1) The formica should be cut slightly bigger and trimmed down after sticking onto wood right ? 2) What is the best way to properly trim the excess formica ? Some hardwareshop say trim using rounter, wood plane etc... Thanks in advance.
  7. Would suggest that you remove the exisiting silicon before applying a new layer. Silicon would stick better this way.
  8. Just buy a new socket. Open up your existing loose socket and remember the color code connection inside and replace with new socket. Phone lines uses only 2 cables for each line. Its an easy task.
  9. I guess PU leather or leather would be a better choice. Try to source from those sofa carpentry.
  10. Yellow = Live Black = Neutral Green = Earth You see 2 of each wires is perhaps due to daisy chain. 1 set of cable is incoming (1 green, 1 yellow + 1 black) from main or elsewhere, while the other set of cable is tap to another place. Just hook up your Ikea light cable to the 2 sets of cable together and it should work.
  11. I wish to add in 1 more step in addition to the above step 3. (This step is shown in picture no. 2) This will make your work easier. Spray soap water onto the glass. This would allow you to adjust the decal. Thereafter use a scraper or credit card to scrap out the water.
  12. Which part of the mixer leaks ? The water exit outlet ? You can change the valve inside the mixer if you are able to get it out yourself.

    Dimmer Switch

What kind of bulbs or lights are you using ? Not all lights can be dimmed.
  14. Looking to buy some 3 core PVC flexible cable but i understand from the internet that there are at least 2 types of 3Cx40 and 3Cx70 ? What are the differences ? Noob in electrical and hope to get some understanding of the cables.
  15. The paper type is non adhensive and you need the joint compound to ahere it. Masking tape can be also an alternative for small jobs. Just plaster over it after you have taped up.
