  1. nice platform overlayed concept very nice.
  2. Silver River near where. Near which part of Paya Labar, is it the Shopping Mall
  3. Well, as I mention. Your renovation is over. I had seen more worst situation on renovation as my clients even looked for me to file law suit against his contractor for not starting any work. I am eager to see your renovated home pictures. I had read more worst case. Much worst case... No matter what, eat well and sleep well. Dun think too much. You mention about your contract agreement between him does not have indicated any ACRA Business Licence number on the contract. It will depend on case by case basis, and the seriousness on your situtation. Can you possible email me your contract agreement with your contractor and let me see. By right if Contract Agreement signed with No ACRA business licence number printed on it, the contractor company shall have no claim whatsoever against . Not only that, if HDB licence is not inside the agreement, the more you should have consult a lawyer to endorse your contract agreement. This can help to settle any dispute which later on can happened.
  4. I went LSH to choose my tiles 2 or 3 times and my Reno ID followed us. Remember We are the one staying in the house not the Reno IDs/Contractor.
  5. I read and understand your anger and frustration. What is your next step? I read in your blog that you have not pay him the last payment is it? I had read your lengthy blog just scanning through bits and pieces. You are really had good patient waiting for your contractor to finished up your house renovation. If I were in your shoes, I would immediately take legal action against him for delaying my house renovation. I could understand is because you mention in the blog, you pay him up to ninety percent of the payment. Personally, I feel the mistake you made is you are too trusty with your contractor. How can you pay-off until left the last ten percent when your contractor never even start your carpenter works. *cough* I wished to be your contractor, take ninety percent of your payment and say goodbye to you." All contractors would like to tell you their stories to let make you advance payment to them. Do not buy in their stories. HDB also cannot assisted you much as your Contractor's Company or himself does not have HDB Licence. Applying for HDB licence is very simple nowsaday. If your contractor uses his friend's licence permit to apply your Work Permit, make sure all the workers is doing the hacking works belong to his friend's company not YOUR Contractor company. You also mention that your contractor's worker left mobile/telephone number for you to contact. Did you keep their number, just-in-case if you need them to clarify they belong to which company. This might not be necessary unless you really have to resort to civil law suit. Your kitchen cabinet had been delayed for quite sometime. I am quite surprised to hear contractor would still say their workers runaway with their deposit. If this is in my father's time, I would still believed the case. I suspected that your contractor could have been having cash flow problems and finding excuses to defend himself and created this story. Did the carpenter left you any number as you mention before your contractor workers left their number? I know it is not wise to call up to find out, but are you satisfy with his answer? I believed your contractor could have registered another name to cover up himself. MOD, please take note of his IP address. This kind of contractor should not scot-free, as this brother had made an effort and courage to write up this. Well.. I mention before. Your house renovation had completed. Just treat this as your learning experience ... Cheers up... By the way, I am very curious, the last payment that you are holding onto it is how much?
  6. the ikea one is not bad.. can buy it off shelves.
  7. I think dun have.. make sure you used the same color, either grey or white.
  8. I had read your blog. There is nothing you can do accept you can tried 1) to report him to the Contractor Association of Singapore. 2) to file a small claim against him for the so-call 'payment you made to him but he denied receiving it'. Since he had sms-ed you, you can used sms-ed as one the supporting documents to show your meet up and bank statements. 3) alert all the contact person who had helped him to apply the Work Permit as I can see he does not have any HDB licence. 4) write an email to HDB_Feedback@gov.sg to alert them and tell them you have finished your house renovation and take note this company does not have HDB Licence and the renovation is acceptable but not SATISFY. (I think his friend's company will get it.) 5) post this to news forum to create awareness so that people won't be prey by this kind of Contactor irresponsibility by telling owner they can borrow their friends license. 6) informed the Contractor Company about your house renovation. 7) lodge a police report in-case anything happened to your house and the main suspect will be "" Lastly, CHEER UP be Happy. Your Renovation had been completed. I believed anyone in the forum would like to see your renovated pictures, post some pictures to show us. I will added somemore if there is any points I left out.
  9. Make sure the Solid Surface Top joint is not done in your house. Ask your contractor whether the Solid Surface is measure to factory and cut to size and installed into your house. It is very ugly to see silicone joints and in long terms it will wear and peel off. May it be the Contractor’s workers had to carried the Solid Surface from the stairs (even you stay 20th storey) due to the L-shaped joint.
  10. 1) Imperial Solid Surface is 100% Polymer Rasin Solid Surface - $70 psf 2) Cresto is 100% Polymer Rasin Solid Surface - $80 psf 3) Samsung Staron (Korean) is 100% Acrylic Rasin Solid surface bet. $90 - $130 depending on the colors 4) DuPont Corian (US) is 100% Acrylic Rasin Solid surface bet. $130 - 160 depending on colors range. 5) Otherwise stated, contractors normally will get less 15%-20% depending on psf on the items quote. Or else you go direct to the factory and ask for discount, or say you are a contractor yourself. Words of advice, there is no such thing that Solid surface is 70% Acrylic 30% Polymer Rasin. All Solid top is either 100% Polymer Rasin or Acrylic Rasin.
  11. any share whether they did their Kitchen cabinet in the straits time contact. If order, when they can completed.. Normally how many times to make.
