wow pinkpetter, you're always very fast hehe. this was bought from the first buyer, but the TOP is only in July, so maybe no picture till then Yeah the lots of planters is the thing we hate the most, such a waste of space, that's why we want to do timber decking to convert them to mini-balcony. The layout of the wc/yard/utility was nice in a way that they are all square and straighforward, no funny angles like most condo, and the utility room has window too.

Hi all, Been a long time lurker here, and got lots of useful info and tips from all of you. Time for me to share the blog for my second home. Current home is a 4A HDB in Mei Ling Street bought 3 years ago, last time we only did very simple reno since it was in move-in condition. We just bought a 3-BR flat at the Metropolitan, just off Redhill MRT. TOP date : June/July 09 Area : 133 sq meter or 1432 sqft Floor : 20+ floor So this is the layout of our second home: Plan to do simple reno as well, mostly timber decking for all planters, feature walls in living and MBR, mirror backsplash in kitchen, bay windows laminate top, etc. Will be using all of our current furnitures to save money. Oh yeah sorry, found the completed pics in the previous pages.......... nice transformations and colors! just realized that your layour is exactly the same as my current 4A in Mei Ling street, wow 100% the same haha. when i look at your pics almost feel like looking at our own house, the beam in middle of living room, the cabinet below window in room 2, the small ledge in bathroom, all exactly the same as ours! anyway i love your kitchen and wardrobe....with the curtains and furniture in i bet they will look very very nice....

hi roamca, yeah it's a condo, that's why we are broke now and not much budget to do fanciful reno haha. thanks for all your input so far... will try to meet mr. yeak to finalize the quote.

ooo ok thanks mrspiglet and ivy..... i guess it's gonna be difficult for me then since i cant speak hokkien nor mandarin..... thank for the offer ivy...appreciate it, but it's going to be hard to communicate our design in mind with him after the reno starts....

Hi Roamca, Thanks. My new place is in redhill, not doing an overhaul, just a few carpentry works, timber decking, electric works, and other minor items. But it will TOP only in June/July. Do you think it's too early to engage Yeak now?

Thanks Roamca, that sounds reasonable for an overhaul. I have not seen his work in person, only looking at your pictures along with Rondy and Angel's hehe. But so far his quotation is reasonable and he's quite responsive.

WOOOW Angel, Love your kitchen and spacious areas in your living/dining. MBR looks so cosy tooo! How much did you spend for the reno in total? I know you bought the lighting in extreme lighting, which downlight did you buy (no of bulbs, wattage), and how much? How many DL did you put in living and MBR? The cabinets opposite the MBR bed is custom-made cabinet? I think for all the quotes i got for now, Yeak is on top of my list especially after seeing Roamca/Rondy/your house. Nick
