  1. Nid some help from u guys on bathroom fittings. Where is a good place to get the toilet bowls, basin, storage heater, shower heads and bathroom accesories? Oh ya, kitchen sink as well as tap fittings as well. Was thinking of Heritage and GR link. any inputs will be very much appreciated!
  2. .........just came back from vlux, wat a freaking hot day it is! The good thing is i managed to settle my hse lighting at 1 go. Pleasant surprise: i found the artichoke lamp (read: replica variant) that i sooooooo desired! but, but, didnt buy it in the end bucz: i) jin ex ($1k+); ii) my revamped design after fsm audit does not facilitate placement of any ceiling lites less the toilets & bomb shelter. Wat a bummer...... Anyways here's wat i got.... Feature wall T5 lites (qty: 09) in warm white for my LR+shoe cabinet+kitchen+MBR PLC w aluminium trim (qty: 29) for the whole house w cool white coloured bulbs ceiling lites (qty: 03) w ultra bright white coloured bulbs for my 2 toilets & bomb shelter All this for a total of $1300, not sure if its too ex. hmm.... And then i chanced upon tis beautiful floor standing lite whilst making payments: Was thinking of placing it at the corner of my dining area so that it overlooks the centerpoint of my dining table. ID say its ok but the ballast stand may be too bulky. will mull over it again. @ less than 500 bux after 50% discount, the price is really attractive......
  3. looking forward to more pics. p.s: 1000 threadcount sheets are heavenly. after u've tried them, anything else is a compromise.
  4. is that rite? that hammer is the de facto dong-tu hammer for BP-ians, i tell u. yup! but the choice of colours really baffles me.......
  5. thanx gigi! the simple ritual was done by ourselves. that wall was not mean to be hacked. fsm just told us to hit that wall till it exposes the concrete. the painters will take care of it come painting time.
  6. looks like ur reno is up to speed. nice. i echo the sentiments of fellow forummers; its a real waste not to keep your fiery red kitchen cabinet, given that u r not into geomancy per se......BUT, knowing u, i'm sure we can expect something up ur sleeve...heh heh heh. more pics please!
  7. ......and finally, the rooms. bedroom 1 aka oddball room bedroom 2: this will be my new MBR.... existing MBR: tis will be my WIW cum study, wall will be hacked lastly, my pathetically small MBR toilet..... i guess thats all to it, pls pardon my poor photog skills and (lack of) picture sense. Next up will be the trail of destruction that happened earlier today. Stay tuned.....
  8. more pics....... walkway to bedrooms common toilet entrance common toilet kitchen 1 kitchen 2
  9. Kum sia kum sia! Today was the 1st day of hacking. Pics coming rite up......
  10. Now that our abode has been dong tu-ed, ID commenced site survey together with the carpentry, electrical & false ceiling head-hand along with the aircon folks. It was a flurry of activity w e'one taking instructions fm my ID. Very impressive. Here are some pics of the original condition........ outside view from the living room..... Living room 1 Living room 2 Living room 3 more to come........
  11. ......and so, we are now the official owners of our new abode. Did a simple albeit symbolic 'dong tu' initiation act at the designated auspicious hour with my trusty hammer ..... and the aftermath...... Huat ar!
  12. iirc, LG has 5 years warranty on the rubber seal, not sure abt samsung. thats wat the salesman told me.

  16. i went to the branch @ Balestier. Tink i'll make a trip down to Jalan Besar tis weekend....
  17. that explains. thanx for the clarifications sam jie! will chop chop grab one this weekend....if my 3m bronze colour carpet is still available....
  18. bro madcat, ur reno is shaping up nicely. who is ur id ar? btw, i saw some carpets from life storey @ tai seng warehouse, not too bad leh. was eyeing a 3m carpet to complement my sofa. not sure if the sale is over though.
  19. Yes, $929 is a very gd price considering its 8kg washing and 5 kg drying function. Personally, i would shell out $100 more for the silver variant as i tink it looks nicer. At the end of the day it all boils down to personal preference, no right or wrong. As long as one is happy with the purchase, thats all that matters. Happy laundering.
  20. Just make a trip down or call the usual electrical/electronic stores that are frequently mentioned & u'll hv a cheaper price most of the time. Do a search, it has been mentioned many times in the forum. BD, HN etc do price-match sometimes on a case to case basis.
  21. pics are looking great bro. am sure the end state will be very outstanding. and ur furnitures are very classy, might i add.
  22. something tells me ur persistence will pay off.
  23. btw, did Angeline chose the lights?
  24. nice. this is good news indeed for potential front load washer buyers as not all front load w/m manufacturer(s) has a dryer in their white goods lineup. ur info will dispel the notion that stacking kit works best for same brands only. kudos to that.
