Actually quite true >_< Stainless steel but in long run will still be tainted with rust I believed. But but but... white pvc on the floor looks so....... =/ I hoping my conceal trap can work. At least make a movable 1 so i can take out if i ever need to wash the kitchen.

I saw ur hse pics. Very nice ! I like the lights and the carpentry all looks pretty impressive ! Hope mine turns out well too ^_^ Waste you no do your toilet tiles esp you got vanity cabinet and stuffs. I hate hdb wall tiles in kitchen/bathroom so no matter what i oso have to get rid of them :X Hmmm hmmm think they use white grouting ! Duno issit for aesthetic purpose that white look nicer I will discuss this with my ID on it thanks ! Oh so your WM will sit on the floor ah. My lady dont like that idea coz she says later wash floor will wet the WM. My lady will be happy to hear that. These are her selection of tiles lol Mine all gana rejected She dont like my earthly colors tiles so i let her choose what she wants. My tiling took about 5-6 days for whole house excluding 3 bedrooms. Everyday about 6-7 tilers will report to work and get on with it. How long yours taking ? Ending soon ?

MBR Tolilet MBR Toilet. Will be boxing the pipes in the later stage. MBR Toilet 2 Another view.

Common Toilet Front Adding the mosaic tiles... Still not completed. Common Toilet 2 Another view.

Tiling are done ! Just need some minor touch up on some areas ! Still have no chance check the tiles coz the floor are covered with sheets of cardboard for protection. Currently doing false wall on ceilings and electric wiring. Laminate flooring Pergo will be coming tmr to install my bedrooms. Hope it does turn out well and good ^_^ Add some more pics of the tiles. Kitchen floor Washing Machine Base My wife complaining this is too small. Actually fits well for a front load, but she wana bigger 1 in case we need change a bigger WM later. The tilers can increase the tiles space but.... That stretch with kitchen cabinets, boxed up rubbish chute will not flush with WM anymore. Saded ! So it means everything is even until WM area u see a pop out of the WM haiz....... Cant fight with her on that, she is determined so oh well.... Floortrap Stainless steel trap to match my floor. But my lady dont like this as well.... The steel is not really a thick pc so in future it might dent if keep stepping on it. So she wanted to be replaced with a cheaper pvc white floor trap. I dont really like the white plastic thing so right now i am discussing with my ID if she can lower the trap and have a movable floor tile and make it a conceal trap to over it up.

Day 4 Living Room The floors are done. Living Room still Another view. Haven got chance to check the tiles. But should be ok coz i saw them filling the cement and sand to full.
-
Actually not very long since I had last update right ? lol Currently Tiling is more or less completed. Need some minor adjustment on floor trap and waiting for mosaic tiles to be up. Day 4 still. MBR Toilet The Wall should look like this. Black and white is the feature in the front. Kitchen Another view of the Kitchen

Thanks ! nice ah ? The Master toilet or Common ? Common toilet need some alterations as whole wall grey looks abit plain. Maybe we be adding the black tiles as a feature with moasic tiles on the sides for shower area. Haiz.... Invest so much on the hse, of coz must make sure everything goes well ma. If not turn out bad.... $ all wasted wor.

We got it for $3099 with free Home Theatre and $100 Robinson voucher during the Expo fair.
-
Yes including Carpentry, Rewiring, Windows, and Air-con. We got 1 black WC and white WC actually. Now thinking if need to swap the black WC to common toilet coz too much black in MBR. Maybe using white WC in MBR to even out the color.... Hmmmm still thinking... The black WC might looks weird in Common toilet.
-
Very affordable actually. $57 The 1st light is Room lights ? I find it simple and practical ^_^

Day 2 3 4 Tiling MBR Toilet Front view of MBR Toilet. The side walls are greyish wall tiles like Common toilet actually. Common Toilet Walls and floors tiles are up. A Simple greyish toilet for this 1. Should be adding 2 mosaic tiles vertically on the shower area later on. Kitchen Kitchen floor tiles are up as well. Still grey :X Maybe we loveed grey too much.... Coz cant use black if not too dark.... so our next option is to use greyish color. =/

Day 2 Tiling, Graffiti on the wall ! Yes this is the only time we will vandalize our walls with drawings 1 Wall was not enough to draw so we drew another wall lol Was discussing with ID, Carpenter on how the TV feature will be done. I like it in this manner then leave it to ID solely to finalize everything. I get to understand how they gona construct, the restrictions in reality on carpentry then the drawing in picture. We have to wreck our brains to rectify the design, where in actual there will be a few flaws. Even tiling layout we have to draw and see if it fits the actual dimension of the toliet

Actually Heritage oso very cheap. 40% storewide till June. Means everything is about 1/2 price ! Baron WC 1pc i see alot stores selling $428 for the black and Heritage selling $250 cheapest. Aftersales wise.... eh no comments coz i just bought nia so duno good ornot. But price wise definitely worth to make a trip down. At Geylang lorong 44.

That y i thinking lo. Newer model but still using direct drive leh. So i keep asking myself what improvement was there ? To be honest i am more inclined to buy the Washer/Dryer model even though dryer to me is not essential. But only thing keep bugging me is that if combo washer will spoil easier then the washer only unit ? Currently i mamage to get quote for Washer only unit 999 and Washer/dryer $899

Kitchen Wall Kitchen white wall tiles. Have a lines horizontally to have a 3d linear effect. Overall looks pretty all right so far. Common Toilet Wall Hmm hmm hmmm this is supposed to have a mix of light grey and dark grey tiles throughout the common toilet from wall to floor. Turn out they tiled the wall light grey and planned the floor dark grey instead. Since I will have 2 strips of Mosaic tiles running vertically down where shower set is in the middle, the mixing of 2 color tiles throughout the toilet with mosaic might be too complicated and messy. So currently they are tiling Wall light grey and floor dark grey.... Hmmmm should have tell me earlier of the change but nvm lets see how it turn out later. Common Toilet Wall 2 Another side of the wall. Hmmmm duno issit too dark ?

Day 1 Tiling 1st Day of tiling. As read from folks here in Reno that best to keep the tilers happy so early in the morning I bought 8 big bottles of various drink for them. All of my tilers from Malaysia apparently cuz of their deep canto chinese accent. Pretty happy with that as I quite worried if I might get China/Bangala tilers ahaha ! Have quite a healthy discussion with Master Tiler, ID and myself on some tiling preference for toilets. A good learning experience on how to try catch the lining of the tiles to align with shower screen and other stuffs. Hoping to achieve the best alignment to have a clean cut look without any weird variations. End of the day the results looks pretty ok. Progress wise not sure is fast or slow but good quite ok to me Balcony The color of tiles looks pretty good to me. I was still worried if my Lady taste on such color for i prefer something abit more greyish. Balcony close up Close up view. Tiles are dirty since have to step here n there. Lean a trick on that as we need to step in the middle and avoid stepping on the side as the tiles are still not set in. BEST is not to step at all la but if need to... better step in the middle. Grouting still not done yet. But already knew homo tiles are not really even. The best tiler can do is to match the lines but in the middle might will have leg cutting tiles later on. Solution is either grind the tiles abit or try use grouting to smooth out the unevenness...
-
Sure ! ahaha ! But you like to see reno progress or wait until everything done ah ? Hope everything turn out well **crossed fingers** eh..... not cheap =/ ID costing is way different from contractors..... The total revamp of my flat is everything go.... Doors, windows, wadever all changed, also fixing the balcony cost me easily 6k..... (P.E endorsement 3k+ for Awning and hacking balcony wall ) -______- Expecting total damage > 50k

Oven i might be getting a portable 1 instead of built in. Not very confident to have a built-in I took Hobz hob and hood package. Your fridge and washer don't seem cheap neh ! Too ex for me to consider :X lol Bedframe i am also having problem to find too. I wanted platform as well with no protruding planks. Preferbly flush with mattress or have to wrap with cushion. Sofa.... i might make a trip to furniture club and see. Heard there have good fabric sofas with good water resistant. Storage heater we got a weird brand Ferroli cubo >__< Same price as Joven TV was a impulsive buy before reno ! Bought a freaking 46" Samsung series 6 then realise later my living is too small for such big TV sigh ! So took alot time to plan with ID to finalize how to place the tv. Aircon lol I was looking at Mitsubishi Heavy ind too leh ! Sys3 ! Hmmmm but i might getting non inverter to cut cost.... Still looking for lobang too. Saw Sohck signature he got his aircon for $2.8k so I hoping to see if he got lobang ornot ahahaha.
-
Woah we are more or less in same stage. My hacking completed on 26th Jun. Now is 2nd day of tiling. Cant hep to saw u got your aircon for $2.8k ! My aircon guy is quoting me 3k for Mitsubishi inverter. Can intro your lobang to me ornot
-
Your parents Wardrobe really looks nice hehehe Very bold color chosen indeed ! My Lady oso very adventurous and wanted bold laminates. Myself i am more to earthy colors but.... She has the final say Had promised her i make decisions on the hse structure layout and let her choose the colors and styles =X

Most pple do up L box, their main concern is to hide away unsightly wiring for ceiling lights. Either way ceiling lights and L box can be brightly lit which depends on the number/kind of bulbs used. do consider more spot lights = more $ 1 spotlight avge cost $30 10 = 300. I seen friend hse have as much as 18 downlights in 1 living room. Not really my type coz i hate cluster of downlights so close to each other. Not mentioning high costings too. So i opt for clove lights with 6 pc 4ft T5 tube. Even though it may be a good graveyard for insects but i rather invest in a hand held vacuum and do some occasional cleaning along the lights then to have dizzling lights all over my living room
-
Yah i saw the dining area boxing up quite nice. So the pipe puncture into bath room show area and ran across.... Really seems like no choice actually. Hmmmm i am thinking if can box the piping area in the toliet but duno will look better or will it be no difference then right now.

I heard Washer/Dryer easier to spoil then washer, not sure is true ornot So i was contemplating if i should get Direct drive washer or washer/dryer combo. Washer/dryer is cheaper then Washer model, kinda farnie i paid more for only 1 fuction.
