Am I reading wrongly? Are you saying someone's floor tiles really hacked away because of Uncle Soon defaulted payment? Who is the victim then? Where is your source of information? Please advise. Thanks.

Hi PiggyBear, This matter is getting out of hand. I would strongly advise you to lodge a case with the nearby neighbourhood police for this incident. This will protect your interest in the event of absurd and ugly actions taken by the carpentary company. Meanwhile, you should contact the carpentary company in-charge and seek clarification on the issues; reason out with them and propose them to seek recourse with Uncle Soon instead. Last but not least, you better replaced all existing locks to prevent any unauthorized entry to your living premise. Also, please refrain from engaging direct confrontation with the sub-contractors. Hi jesslyntan, You may wish to start doing small things first as what jaskel proposed - do up your flooring, electrical and plumbing works. Then, you can start moving in. Its really meaningless to leave your unit vacant.

Hi jesslyntan, You can do some DIY like painting the walls etc. Next, the other outstanding jobs can be easily rectified by engaging other contractors, or engaging Jaskel's help. Bear in mind, the prices may not be the best (lowest) but you definitely won't getting headache. Dun be penny wise, pound fool.

Hi seashell, May I know what's happening actually? I have been following the thread closely for once I did consider Uncle Soon to be my contractor for my new home renovation. I have had even invited him over my residential to have a site survey; however he never got back to me. Having said that, I did attempted to contact him thrice, and I have had no choice but to seek for other to quote me the price etc. Please enlighten me and fellow forumers on the event of incident in chronological orders so we can have a better idea on the situation. The current situation is highly speculative and unclear. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I believe the victims can raise the concern to the Sin Ming Daily. Jesslyn's pictures will be very pictorial and illustrative to describe the woes of the victims. I seriously urge everyone to unite and confront Uncle Soon. I believe he is probably in Malaysia and batam for his weekly dosage of freedom and happiness now. Good luck to all.

Hi all, it may be a tell-tale sign that Uncle Soon is experiencing financial cashflow issue. Though no one knows the situation; if there is one tiler who can just simply walk to a home-owner unit uninvited and request for assistance. There is a need for us to be mindful of whats happening in the background. Anyway to stop any speculation, hope you sooners can get your units done soonest possible.

FYI, I have already drafted the letter to HDB officer regarding Ah Soon uncle contracting company and I dutifully seek them to check Uncle Soon background as I whistle blow there are many couples opting for Uncle Soon's job.
