Since I'm tiling the cabinet side, my ID advised me to tile everything since the cost removing existing tile at the opposite side of the cabinet + plastering, cost quite "near" to fully tile. Cost difference maybe like ~$300. Full tile sounds more durable and yeah, you can ask your ID not to tile at the cabinet side since it's not exposed and you can save a bit from there.

Anyone uses the hydraulic hinges. Is it durable? I was in my col's house and seems like the hydraulic is not so smooth, is it poor workmanship or is it the hydraulic itself? Any alternative to solve this? Thanks.

Actually you won't go wrong with the Sony or the Samsung but what struck my note is the Samsung series, it has a special feature whereby there's fast panning shows that it's **** smooth. check it out!
