Hello folks, Yeah finally starting to post my own thread and will be collecting my keys this week. Have been this forum looking around and asking questions. This forum is very useful, with all the info about house reno. I am also rushing for ROM and wedding this year, this is definitely a real challenge. My house is a new 4 room BTO flat, with only 92sqm (so small!). My theme would be simple and nice, easy to maintain house. I started to source for ID since Dec 10. I didn't choose contractor cos i think it is easier to laise with a ID. For ID, i try big ones like Weiken and *, they had impressive showrooms, but they expect us to pay $1k upfront just to get the 3D n quotation. Smaller firms i also contacted: 1. The interior Place- I call them up, but they nvr get back to me 2. One inch square feet - response time abit slow, by the time they call me, i already getting quotes from other ID 3. Ideal Design - response ok, already gotten quotes 4. Design House response ok, already gotten quotes Will updates u guys again...looking forward to share more with all of u.

I am in the midst of searching ID. I requested a customed made king size bed frame for my MBR. These ID told me, king size, the bed will be 2 pcs ,they will need to go to my MBR to install during reno. Here the question, it means me and my HTB will sleep on separate bed right? The bed frame is separate, but of course the mattress will be one pc. I am worried about "同 床 一 梦". Anyone can advise?

Hi, I read your T-Blog with interest, with the up and down mood with the ID, finally your nest is ready. Moreover my floor plan layout is almost the same as your, except that bomb shelter, mine is on the right side of the Main Door. Bomb shelter feature wall, i notice it take up quite alot of space, is this a storage or shoe Cabinet as well? Living Room Wall Feature, this look very impressive. How much does this cost u? And if without Wall Feature, it will make the area ugly?

I gotten my BTO flats some time ago, I checked the status shows:- "The Probable Completion Date of your new flat is 3rd Quarter 2011. HDB will invite you to take possession of the flat when the construction of the flat is completed. " Does is mean by next year Jul-Sep 2011,HDB will ask me to collect keys?

I will have very bad backache before my menses come.This started since last year. Think my pms is more severe than other gals. So every mth is very frustrating.

i hv both Fish and tortoise at home, Both needs to be kept into fish tank n container. Especially our tortorise 's size is quite big. Time to change home for them.

Staying at 2nd floor with my parents. Pro and cons. Yes, got more mosquitoes and insects. We took some measures, we put mosquitoe nets onto our windows all year long, so those insects can't fly into our house. Not facing roads or schools, so the place very nice n quiet. But the views is not as good as high floors. Also those outdoors salesman will more likely to knock onto our doors, wic can be quite irritating. Also don't need to wait for lift, just run down the stairs.

I shd be counted lucky, I got my flat at 2nd attempt for BTO. But have to wait for a few years b4 the flat is ready. Intially wanted to get resales, but we found it too expensive. So meanwhile, it 's saving and scrimping, Cos new flats are equally expensive!!!
