  4. I am also limited by the ampere thing but found this Japan Taiyo induction cooker that uses std 13A. Built quality is very good too. You can buy from Courts. http://www.taiyoasia.com.sg/index.aspx?uc=...tail&ID=310
  5. So sad, of the whole house only like my toilet. HAHA. If you dont mind a messy house now, we welcome you to visit us anytime.
  6. adah, congratulate on a smooth reno journey so far, your place looks really great. Cant wait to see the completed photos. Good Job.
  7. You mean you are considering whether to custom made your wardrobe vs buying off the shelf type? We have gone thru that question in our last few renovations and always the answer is to custom make one as it offers maximise storage space, design and dimension to your requirement. However, we are also conservative in that the location of the wardrobe is usually the standard location or wall so that it is easier to be accepted by the next owner in the event we sell or rent out the place. For me, paying a little more for the better aluminium sliding wardrobe is worth the value esp in space hungry rooms
  8. Fencer, can you share some pics of the crack tiles and its location? I wonder why Henry say cannot change.
  9. I agreed fully on that, whether we engage a contractor or an ID, we must communicate well with them. As in all reno that I have gone thru, very frequent site visit and also know what they are doing tomorrow, next days is good so that if we think there will be critical installation going on, we will find time to be there to ensure no major mistake. Time consuming yes but it is better than rectification job later.
  10. Its Henry's carpenter who did all my built in stuff. This sliding wardrobe is the smoother track type that comes with aluminium frame. Remember it cost me 260pfr for this option, the normal sliding wardrobe is ard 220pfr
  11. Most of the ppl ID note engage are responsible ppl. I don't know how many groups of sub con they have for each category but I could be lucky to get the more responsible ones.
  12. Hi adah, yes, reno completed, move in exactly 1 month today. The post move in job is much more than packing and moving. Most of my stuff should be settled by this week. Thanks
  13. Hi All, Apologise for MIA for so long, have been really busy toggle between moving, unpacking, clearing my move as well as my work to take care of. I would say my reno experience with Michael of ID Note is smooth till handover. Some usual hiccups along the way which I guess is normal, nothing major. My Comments on the various groups of subcon engage by ID Note:- Wet Works Done by Xiao Hei. Very fast worker, accomodating, good quality of work Plastering: Done by a team but dont have their name, plastering work is really good and fast. I think the plastering work on my 24yr old rough walls and ceiling really make my house much younger now. The edges are all straight and 90deg angle as they use the plastic angle support for all edges in the house. False ceiling and light holder also very well fixed up. Plumbing: Done by John and team. Very cooperative and willing to offer better ideas when hit with a obstacle. The basin/cabinet which I bought from Hoe Kee exactly hit the pipe behind when they tried to install. Now, the whole basin and cabinet was shifted up a little and instead of resting on its legs, I got it suspended which imo is much nicer. They assured me it will last as long as I stay there, haha, hopefully so. Painting: Done by a Malay guy with some chinese helper. The Malay guy is really good. Someone who have lots of pride in his work. Whereas for the other Chinese guy (heard he is boss brother), he is very lazy and like to postpone his job. Overall, with the Malay guy help, we are very happy with the quality and delivery Carpentry: Done by Ah Hua in Sungei Kadut. Very fast work, good quality stuff. Workmanship no complains. All doors and drawers fixed with Blum dampener stopper. Love it !! Electrical: Done by Ah Chew, quality of work is average but very willing to negotiate on pricing. Total Cost for reno is ard 35k for renovation, 3k for electrical wiring. I will post more pics with my furnishing, but for now, some of the completed reno pics 1st.
