  1. yup. mix race is the best. u can buy/sell using either one. i sold mine in Aug last year. ask ur seller to write to hdb from his My HDB Page. there is correspondence section. so that, u have hard evidence. hdb replies pretty fast. good luck..
  2. i think u can buy based on my experience. i(other) and my wife(chinese) tried to sell our previous flat to indian when indian/others was not eligible for that month. the house was registered under chinese. i wrote to HDB and they replied that i can sell it to indian using my ethnic. but, at the end, we didn't sell to indian. gov wants to promote racial integration and harmony in the Block. we are even integrating in the house. actually, they should give us some rewards.... heee.

  6. Nope. AHG is appicable for both resale and New unit. This is from HDB web page, The Additional CPF Housing Grant or AHG was introduced in March 2006, to give extra help for the lower-income to become homeowners. It was enhanced in 2007 and further enhanced on 6 Feb 2009 to make it easier for first-timers to buy a flat, especially in these difficult times. AHG is an additional subsidy over and above the prevailing $30,000/$40,000 CPF Housing Grant for Family. Eligible first-timers can use the AHG amount (up to $40,000) to offset the purchase price of a resale or new HDB flat, thereby reducing the loan a flat buyer needs.

  9. Ya. I have seen it too. Company name is Faith Coat. They quoted me $500 for 1 toilet floor and $900 for 2. Btw, i don't think the fair will end. it has been there for a few months already..
  10. I still don't understand why 1k is gone. I'm currently selling and buying a resale unit(contra) and I won't pay single cent until my transaction is completed(ie: after 2nd appointment). Btw, both myself and my seller don't have an agent. so, 0 commission there. I did all the paper work. It was very easy. I have agreed to pay 1% comm my buyer's agent(after 2nd appointment) even though I do the paper work my own.

  14. hi, i would like to do this for my toilets too. Faith Coat from Lorong 37 quoted me $450/toilet for HDB at Expo show. looks like quite cheap. not sure about the quality. have anyone tried them? thanks.
