  1. If u use white paint, I don't think u can replicate the kind of mood created in the picture. But in any case, I would choose A. It looks more interesting than B (from Ikea?).
  2. It is because of the bed frame (not becos we want round or odd shape) issue that we decided to make a headboard. If not we would gotten ready-made poster bed liao. New New got her headboard from Hommage, less than 1k if I am not wrong. We might want to do a 'floating' bed frame. And for headboard, we thought something more '3D' will be nice. Lol.
  3. From my personal experience, my ID arrange for acid wash after tiles were done - for inspection. Along the way, a few general cleaning were arranged to clean up the place for other checks. No la. That particular door looks interesting. I won't paint it fully white if I use the door. I would do 'crack-line' effect plus gold paint for the plastered pattern. Or a dark color paint paint plus outline for the plastered pattern. Hee.
  4. The previous quote did not include the headboard and bed frame. Due to some issue, have to customise one. Rondy, do u know how much is the cost usually?
  5. The curve is looking great. . So what are u buying tomorrow? Hehe.
  6. Hi Rondy, currently reviewing the headboard design and other stuffs. I guess it will still take some time. Sian.
  7. Yah. I saw this before. That is why I said great effort. Hee. Really need a lot of effort to get this done.
  8. Hi Serene, Agree with BangBang. The house is in gd condition.
  9. Thanks thanks for posting a clearer pic! Frankly, I think the door is quite nice but understand not many will appreciate it if the reno theme is modern and comtemporary.
  10. Thanks thanks! Actually, this door looks gd. Unfortunately, my doors are up and I have no intention to take it down and fix it up again. Lol. I see an inspiratiion to convert it into a castle-door! Hee.
  11. I am not designer la. We gave our input to our ID and plus his design creativity and decided on the current design. Actually, wifey is a gd inspiration. She has lots of ideas. Lol. My house design is unique but not that great to be in mag. Furnishing plays an important part to achieve that.
  12. If I have to choose among the designs, I will pick either A or B. The design which u should least choose is one that block one whole glass panel of the sliding door. My opinion la.
  13. The one which I wanted to see is not this door I believe. Hee. The craving/plastering the design on the door is different if u compare both the pic. Hee.
  14. Solid tops are bendable, but as far as I know, not every brands and not every solid surface suppliers are willing/able to do this nicely. ID's supplier are able to do it but the price is not very economical. So we actually tried sourcing for one and realise that. But eventually, we used our ID's supplier because it is the cheapest quote we got. Technically, I don't know how they do it. But as usual, they have to apply heat to bend it. That is all I know. Hee. Actually, ending the curvy part for table tops is one of my ID's first design. If you see his blog, he has done this design since day one he started his business.
  15. The door design looks interesting. Can take a picture of it?
  16. Hmm, yes, it is not a requirement to run to the tv. The purpose of the power point is to power up any accessories (eg. future scv box). Hmm, as far as what I know, if you want access at another area (eg. tv area) in the house, u should have install a RJ45 patch panel next to the box and with internal wiring (eg. Cat 6 cable) lay to the area ( eg. tv area). This is as per guidelines provided by Opennet. Anyway, only time can tell how it will really work but my advice is it should be near the tv console or somewhere in the house where u will need the new technology (eg. internet) in the future because as per the guidelines provided by Opennet, it doesn't look optimistic if u really want to install near the door. If not, they won't state in the guidelines on laying Cat 6 cables to ensure connectivity. Let's keep our fingers cross ba.
  17. Something for the week - dining table with solid top done.
  18. The design looks similar to something I saw before. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ILjW1fygFyo/SJ3F...ning_Living.jpg I think it looks okie.
