  1. hi bro, beware there are afew type of aluminium frame, in your 3D, the framing around the perimeter is thin so it will look nice but in real world, they may not be able to source the same requirement. ask your fake ID to specified the dimension before agreeing the top up. is the doors sliding or flip down version?
  2. you can go to Lenbrook asia to check out the PSB speakers but again. the newer batch are Made in China... it is cheaper than brit though comparing with B&W and KEF. have fun auditing! trust your ears, not your eyes
  3. I totally agreed with your comic illustration!!! LOL
  4. In Singapore, i had realised that there are alot of contractors who like to claimed that they are IDs so they can charge a premium for designing. truthfully how many of them really know about designing, integration. they just read some magazines and experiences gained...copy here and copy there to become another design. Actually some of these "IDs" benefited from owners who forced ideas and allow them to trial certain ideas. There is no flair in the these designs. Seriously i think the owners must take ownership and design their habital themselves. Stop calling the contractors as IDs..they are not seriously fit. i have encountered several "IDs" (including Sunny) during my search for an ID for our home...finally we landed with a contractor who is able to coordinate the reno project for us. We found out we cant really afford real ID(found one which have some daring ideas). so just go for contractor.although i must admit that we do not have any flair in our design we do not pay the "ID" for designs that we come out. a good resourceful and quick thinking ID is still a contractor aka project coordinator.. a real designer will want to know your habits and what is a home to you.how u want to live in it. what is your daily bread? What makes u and your loved one tick? that's my two cents worth.. sorry for my bad english.
  5. Hi, i could not see anything from the pic. But i roughly know your idea but there are a few things to take note; 1) the width of the brickwall u wanted to built will cause the "bath area" to be smaller. unless u have a huge bathroom 2) the whole set up have to be water proof. they have to waterproof it before applying the tiles. it is a huge job 3) you have to determine the height of the base of the bath tub. this will incur more material to built it. bottomline i think it can be done but i am not sure whether is there any implication from HDB. Cheer
  6. HDB cannot have sunken bath. please show pic to be specific. before the brickwall, the tub have to be raised to a certain height (somewhere hip level) with some hollow block
  7. you mean your contractor or yourself constructing the bathtub? usually they will lay three hollow block, dividing them equally under the length of the bathtub. then they will built a wall to cover the exposed side of the tub with hollow blocks then laid your selected tiles to finish it. there will be a opening design to open at the brickwall for maintenance access. Hope this helps
  8. wish u all the best for the replacement. hope it will solve your problem once and for all
  9. Thanks Rondy. How about those for oven usage?
  10. hi beloved bakers, i enjoyed reading this thread. Greatly appreiated if someone can enlighten me. i like to check where can i buy Kueh Bahlu mould in Singapore? Thanks
  11. Joewoo, i am assuming your setup going to be 5.1. some simplistic readup http://www.dolby.com/consumer/setup/speake...uide/index.html
  12. i am sorry to ask as i could not understand how come it is difficult to tune speaker with other amps? if they (the guys who sell the speakers) should able to tune for u whether what amp u are using... and i believe they should not be using any calibration mic from the amp as they are believed to be professional and it should be done manually. rem that u are not buying HTIb here...it is a KEF
