  1. Oh no another victim Able to cut your losses and go to another contractor?
  2. Now the exciting (aka stressful) part starts The 1st pic is that morning or faternoon sun that's shinning into the living? The toilet looks original
  3. Ave 8 layout should be pretty similar to mine right?
  4. The vanity top that was planned is about 5ft. That was what given to the contractor to quote. He cam back top hang with solid top 1.5k i nearly fell out of my chair. Anyway i think that contractor is history liao. I cannot imagine that his quote is almost 20K higher than the next highest. % or 10k i can accpet and when i asked the tiles that he's giving me how much? I tot at least $3 but no only $2 max $2.20. Hiaz.....
  5. Erm we like the color so din ask
  6. Saw this at Hoe Kee, too bad my wife dun share my enthusiasm for it. She says after a while you would get tired of it. So no choice gotta gree to disagree.
  7. OTP was signed 2th Nov and to drive down the commission of the new unit (was a negative sale) we got the agent to sell my current unit as well. My unit was sold on the 1st day of open house After the agent submitted the paperwork we were given Feb but the buyer of my unit seems to have "kang tao" in HDB and managed to wrangle a earlier slot. Good luck on your EM. How much cash are you paying? Location?
  8. She can leran and the oven will be an impetus for her to try out on YOU Good luck bro
  9. At the showroom they have a piece of the cabinet material broke into half to show the construction. Seems to be solid PVC material. It's not laminate so the water resistance should be good And yes feels solid enough but don't think can take me weight
  10. Thanks actually the latest ID we went to told us to leave the existing balcony tiles alone and lay the teak tiles over. Save the hacking money The single and double basin was driven by need to cut cost. We were quoted almost 1.5 K for a hanging cabinet with solid surface and that's before adding in the basin. So when we saw this, grab lor.
  11. Yup, totally agree But also mean i can limit my wife wish list, like right now no more oven I actually told my ID to leave a big enough space for a fridge that can pass thru the front door. My current fridge was limited by my 4 room gate so a bit small.
  12. Wow and welcome. Your EA is as big as my EM I think whether enough storage space will depends on how much junk you are going to keep. From my experience only about 50% is actively being used. Most active and these will be cluster around your sink and stove are: - storage for pots and pans - cutleries and crockeries - condiments - dry goods The rest is just to keep items that you use occasionally. Bearing that in mind you can keep them elsewhere if you run out of space. Example is that i have a 3ft double door section of the cabinet is used just to store milk powder for my son. I put it there cause there is space, else store room is ok. Happy Planning
  13. So this is my floor planning for the ground floor. 3D version still pending floor planner. Originally wanted to hack the wall to the kitchen to remove the bi fold window to create a more spacious look. But Feng Shui says bad to be able to see the kitchen from front door so drop the idea. Heng arh else more $$
  14. Nope but already saw what we wanted at Lightings.com.sg, maybe will buy tonight
  15. Very interesting laminates selection for your MBR
  16. Yup i am using it as a game station and Blu Ray player. Good? Have not tried the rest so dunno but it works for me and the quality is eye popping. But then nowadays Blu Ray player is pretty cheap. I expect SITEX to have some good deals.
  17. I am planning to get this from the States. Based on reviews for that kind of money there's nothing out there can beat it. Panasonic AE4000 Imagine it is USD1999 about S$3000, in SG the selling price is $K.
  18. Thanks! Yup any higher and we would not be able to afford it. This unit is a once a lifetime thingy, all the stars just lined up and wahla. Good luck on your hunting.
