  13. Hi there, if you don't mind, I can help you to look at the situation before engaging the specialist.
  14. Very simple, just get a pail of DampSealer 5000 from hardware shop and apply it yourself and you can save alot. But just make sure you need to scrape off the paint before applying. I applied about 3 coats of the product and few days later, I painted the ceiling back. Till now there was no sign of damp mark seen from the ceiling.
  15. homogenous or Porcelain tiles are manufaacture under very high heat to give you the glossy. The only way to have the glossy back is to coat glossy sealer over it or use wax to polish to get the glossy. The cheapest way is to use the sealer but the glossy may not turn out to be the same as the tiles next to it.
  16. Can I know is your false ceiling up yet?
  17. One advise is that if you hack away the skirting, the chance of seeing varies gap sizes between the wall and the floor tiles. For cleaniing the grout, you can go to DIY shop to buy the grout cleaner and this will do the job. Try not to chemical wash the tiles as this will affect the finishes later on.
  18. Possible to email me your dimension on the items? I can do a recommendation for you.
  19. U can try using DAmpSealer 5000 to apply onto the ceiling, I have try out before and very effective. I applied 3 coats onto the ceiling and few days later I paint the ceiling and I didn't see any damp mark appearing. But make sure the ceiling is bare cement.
  20. Is ture that compress marble is very hard to maintain. Maybe I suggest that you go to Tampines Mall and look at the compress marble finished. Most of the the compress marble will curl at the edges after tiling and this will become cutting egdes to the bare foot. If you want, I can recommend some tile suppliers for your reference.
  21. Tiles will get hollow if they are not using the proper tile adhesive for the job. I have a solution and that is to ask them to apply waterproofing onto the exsiting tiles before ;aying the new tiles. This will reduce the messy, shorten the renovation time and giving you another waterproofing protection. Try not to damage the exsting waterproofing if your flat is new build and still within 10 years because the main-contractor did give a 10 yrs warranty to HDB and if any one damage the waterproofing, the warranty is void.
