  1. Hi, We just did our window & grilles with Alex Ong (fm Yick Hong) & his brother Vincent Ong (fm City Aluminium & Contractor - HDB registered under window works). Their price is about 40% cheaper compare to our ID quotation as they are direct supplier & contractor. Ours was a HDB 4-S corridor unit, we did whole house white frosted sliding window, white powdered coated grilles & extra 2 push in locks for 2 corridor window grilles (a must for corridor unit!) at only $2,730 (FYI Initial quote was tinted colored glass with matt silver grilles at $2,100, 2nd quote was frosted glass with matt silver grilles at $2,300). They took a day to remove & install. They also do main gate, toilet bi-fold door and louvre window. We found them too late as we have already done our toilet & main gate with our ID, if not could have save more money. They are very friendly & professional. Hubby & I are very happy with their service & workmanship. Highly recommended! http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm58/an...aw/IMG_1601.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm58/an...aw/IMG_1602.jpg Cheers! Angie
  2. Hi, seems like a good quote. Which contractor are you using? Can recommend me? TQ
  3. Based on my knowledge, "9" is a good number for everything. If you notice, Indian like "9". We just bought a 4-room flat recently with add up number "5". For "5" is neutral. "4" & "8" may have woman problem (woman gossip, woman not easy to find husband, not easy to have baby etc.). "7" may face some legal problem. While looking around for flats, we notice that those selling are mostly add up number 4, 7 & 8. Same for floor number as well, if you notice, mostly are 4, 7 & 8. Some units look ok, but unit number and floor number not ok for us. No matter what, we rather not risk it. At last we came across and bought a unit no. "5". Jus my 2c opinion
  4. Just went for our 1st appointment on 11 Dec. Buyer requested for an early completion date via a written letter signed by both parties, hdb approved and fix the 2nd appointment date on 7 Jan. My agent said this is the fastest that he have came across. Have not pack our stuffs yet, rushing to pack this few days. Very sad also as have to move out earlier than expected Our new place's 1st appointment is only on 22 Feb, long way to go.
  5. Hi, Need some advice here. I am a direct buyer who saw an ad on the net posted by a house agent. I have view the hdb unit and have committed to purchase this unit. The seller's agent is asking me for 1% commission as he's helping me to submit the paperwork to hdb. I did not engage any agent, must I still pay him the 1% commission? Your help is greatly appreciated. Brgds, Angie

  7. Hi Yvonho, Just bought a resale 4-S in Yishun. I intend to keep the existing window grilles and window as all in good condition, do you think he can change the locks for me? Also need to replace the front door gate, replace 2 toilet doors with Besglas and 1 bedroom heavy door. Can PM me Alex contact too? Many thanks in advance " ) Brgds, Angie
  8. Hi, I saw the similar full leather set at Lorenzo at Furniture Mall. Now they got X'mas promo, 5 seaters at around 3k plus after discount and quite a number of color to choose. We are considering it as well. There are some other shops in FM which sell cheaper, but I find the slight out part not as smooth as lorenzo. Furniture Mall got lots of shops and I find the price there is cheaper compare to some other expensive malls in singapore. Brgds, Angie
