  2. is yours a condo? looks like one! nice views...*envy*
  3. lol thats what i call cookie-cutter designs. boring with a capital B.
  4. muahaha ok i think everybody's confused..i shall just call both lah..i called asia excel before and they also have such pull outs. can't remember their prices liao. will call again. yea asia excel has a branch at IMM. the one i called is the balestier road one. so nice of you to help me check! can help me see if they have 650mm pull out basket (flat type to put pots/pans/woks etc)? i need to fit into 750mm cabinet..thank you!!
  5. hey dear, maybe can give my plasterer a call. his prices are quite reasonable. kowyee.blogspot.com..good luck!
  6. your spice rack so gui!! got pics not? sounds like those narrow type.. our kitchen cabinet designed by hb also got many drawers...but my PM say might need to top up for some drawers, told us normally they only do 1 row of 3 drawers. don't wanna top up anymore liao la!! she say she'll get back to us on the additional cost if any. sigh! and nope, have not decided on my painter leh, why? got lobang?
  7. muahaha i'm a pig. i don't lose sleep over anything. sorry gimz & baby for hijacking ur thread!
  8. good luck! i like your study room shelves...the orange really pops out against the walls. nice choice!
  9. oic, i didn't know that they work like that...i suppose some would be ok with it..but i'm the kind who wants to know the breakdown of everything so can nego for better price mah..
  10. yea the cheapest mild steel gate i can find is $320. most likely will go for that lor. even though $140 isn't much, when your budget is tight, a little saved here and there can add up to quite a lot... wah sam, your turn to poison me now! haha just thinking that after the novelty of a new house passes over, we won't even notice the gate anymore lol.
  11. nope not yet...cos i haven't decided what i wanna do about my table yet!
  12. if everything bundle in to one fee makes it very hard to negotiate price right?
  13. oh is this company ah? i thought its asia excel..terbalik...lol. ngunadi, care to confirm? you do all drawers? wowee....edmund never charge u a bomb for it ah? hi patsy, yep i know you have the song cho ones. saw your posts on other similar threads. but they're really very expensive!! 200/pc x 2 pc = $400!! i can do so much with that amount... hey england, the scissors grilles are collapsible. so when we don't need them, we can just push it to one side and its not an eyesore. its also very strong, security-wise. aluminium can be easy to cut thru and i think it looks cheapo. and wrought iron have those bumps that don't sit well with me.
  14. wah sam, must focus on the positive mah. you wanna move in by july or not? if want, then must WORK for it...haha... congrats btw!
  15. ahhh another 3 roomer. yours is a corner unit? clementi..that's the same area as baby & gimz..!
  16. muahaha gimz, cheap prices surely popular. i called up ginette from CNS myself earlier today after i saw your post. checked if they got mild steel gate/grilles. prices around the same as the others i called. but now i'm seeing your gate, and looking at the $188 price, i'm very tempted to just settle for the wrought iron gate. i mean, its outside the door and i only see it when i go in/out the house....so maybe should just save $140 and go for it. dilemma!!
  17. they very good at coming up with names ah? lol.. btw, saw you have mirrors lining the wall of your dining area. are those black mirrors? how much did u get them at? or is it also bundled into reno cost?
  18. subtitle watcher!! me too!! lol i watch english dvds also need subtitles. your kiddo so cute..terrace bed..haha..so nice of you guys to custom make a bed for them. did they have any say in the design?
  19. ya lah.....song cho's are like $200 a pc!! thanks..asia excel ones are s/steel? what size did you get and how much ah?
  20. are hoe kee's expensive? i don't mind if not s/steel..called SSC but their sizes are either 600mm or 800mm. they don't have anything in between!
  21. wah you have two tvs in your MBR? must use headphones? your MBR looks v.big! and you custom-made the bed for your kiddos! so interesting..was it costly?
  22. Kitchen Pull Out Baskets Does anybody know where I can find these baskets that is at least 650mm in width? (Besides Song Cho please..too $$..) Want to put woks, pots & pans...
  23. yea it will look more modern with square edges..but we didn't want the bath to be all hard angles. plus i think rounded back will be more comfortable than a flat square back. i've seen pics of similar tubs and they were mostly done with square edges..also another reason for us to choose a rounded one. i suppose you have to push the envelope to really know, right? the layout that was submitted to hdb had a bathtub drawn in. throughout my conversations with the hdb technical officer, we discussed the bathtub several times as well. the bathtub was prob the main reason why we had to wait for our permit for such a long time. think it's case-by-case basis, for us we're using the same original shower area and my hdb technical officer told me that ours is special case (cos i told him that hb had a back injury sustained during NS so we hope water therapy can help). he also emphasised that if there are any future leakages, we will have to be responsible.
  24. Reno Day 51 Had a minor heart attack yesterday evening when PM called to sayour bathtub had been built but differently from our dimensions. So went down to have a look at night, turned out fine. Taken from bathroom entrance. Will be increasing height of it by 3.5" so as to have enough water for a proper soak.Hb calculated the cost of a bath is $0.88. Close-up of the tub internal. I had a test-sit, lots of space for one but maybe a 'lil cramped for two. These pipes to be boxed up.Still considering if we should have a cabinet between the pipes.
