  3. I like Samsung. base on pricing and usage, most likely i will get the Series 5. the diff between C5000 and C6200 is the refresh rate 100 vs 400 and the suround sound. C6900 vs C6200 is the internet tv function. if u buying soon, can go to Sitex this weekend and see the price.
  4. Is the Philips downlight worth the investment? Pricing Philips 160x160 2x14watts $45 per set (price from Lightings.com.sg) Normal 160x160 2x18watts $24 per set (price from recommanded shops) Understand that supplier mod the normal down light holder to fit E27 bulb. You can still use Philips E27 bulbs. The only diff is the down light design. The internal of Philips downlight is really full of reflective sheet, whereas normal down light is lesser. According to the salesman, this is the reason why Philips need only 14watts and it will save some cost on electric bill. Base on the pricing, it almost double. If we purchase 10pcs, its about $210 diff. Pls help to advice. Thank you.
  5. NO. Older refrigerant R22 which is going to stop production soon. but dunno when. Newer refrigerant R410A is more environmental friendly. This will replace the R22. Pricing wise, R410A is more expensive when top up. Each aircon have their own spec. If your aircon spec is using R22, then u can not top up R410A in it and vise-versal.

  10. Hi Scott, I am looking at Stereo system, mainly on Marantz. Other than Power and tunner function of CR502 compare to "CDx003 + PMx003"....what other different? Currently i am not sure to get CR502 alone or the CPD + Amp. Is the sound quality a great diff? Will put this system in one of the bed room, driving bookshelf speakers. Pls help. thanks.

  12. Haha....thank you once again.... WAF cos i dun want to listen to her "speaker" more than the real speakers. Down the road, she will complaints this and that la. If she approved, she will shut up as long as the thing is there....lol
  13. Thanks Vicenzo for the advice. Ah~~ at least now a bit relieve no need to stick to MA Sub liao....there should be about 200-300 savings there. WAF, she still can accept the RX6, but the B&W floor stander is "fatter" than the MA. She wont pass it.....lol..... Bookshelf wise For MA, WAF can accept the gloss finishing For B&W, not sure got gloss finishing or not Just asking: Is B&W 685 comparable with MA RX1? (I know, have to hear it myself, i will do that, just see if anyone compare it before and i can have some guideline from there)......
  14. first time stepping into this thread..... Same like insane, moving to new home soon (infact we are neighbour).....lol.....HT system will be my last item to buy, but have been looking around for some time. Originally thinking of getting the B&W 800 Series HT but it seems like a little out of my budget. Then found Monitor Audio speakers, below is what i plan to go for. AVR: Marantz, Onkyo, Yamaha (not confirm the model yet. price range less than 1K) Front, Center, Rear : 3 pairs x MA R90HD ($500 each pair) Sub: RXW12 (as reconmend by the sales) ($1500) If budget allow Front and rear: RX1 x 2pairs (~$950 each pair, gloss finish) Center: RX Center Sub: RXW12 Dream (Still pending for WAF) Front: RX6 (~$1500 a pair) Rear: RX1 Sub: RXW12 I need some expert advice: AVR - From this thread i saw that Onkyo 608 Audio calibration does not include SW. May i know any AVR include all speaker? (base on above brand) SW - The sales recommended RXW, if i replace it with Velody or SVS will it be better? (cos 1.5K for the sub is a bit high leh) Thank you. 15. Base on my understanding, yes, LED is more energy saving. But this statement only apply to companies or factory at this moment as the cost of LED is still high. For factory and office, they on the light at least 8hours a day. If they change it to LED, they will save money on the electricity. For home use, the saving is not that significant.
