yea, good idea u guys brought out. i think i need to get a set of tool box in my house. no longer can depend on ID /contractor to do it for me since reno is officially over. i saw some people too box super powerpack one. got ths got that... hmmm.. where and how should i start mine? any good recommended stores? my bro-in-law asked me to go those DIY /Home-Fix stores to get the standard pack with hammer, screw drivers, pilers, few nails, screws and etc. gimz, i'm sure u have a set urself in ur place right, since u n ur wifey soooo hands on.

yeaaaa.. very messy. have to tidy up soon before CNY. if not, my mum will scold me saying that god of fortune doesnt like stepping into messy house. even our shoes /slippers have to hide on CNY even that night.

Kitchen - one of the many areas owned by my wife

So, we have been staying at our new place for a week plus. Well, it has been a bumpy week where we encountered several rectification areas and of course our worst nightmare of water leaking for ALL mixers. 4D /Toto also never so zhun. Anyway, my ID has asked respective sub cons to come down and repair the necessary areas. Glad that no more strangers coming into my house with dirty socks and feet. Probably show you guys what i have added into my empty house over this 1 week. hahaha.. gotta said that my initial aim to keep the house clean, simple, neat, spa feel type has totally been eroded away with very practical furniture and stuff. i guess it's really hard when you have a baby at home. nonetheless, i am still very happy with our home at its current state. Entrance Gate - got a surprise from my mum who gave me her precious plant. i still dunno its name yet, but it definitely brings a very greeny and lively feel to my door. hope my neighbour dog dun eat the leaves. Moveing on, let's look at the living room. it's the only place where i still have some control over the placing of furniture and deco. kekeke

As promised, these are my ikea hoots from sat shopping: LYCKHEM occasional table - for putting my baby's milk bottles, floor matts, rags and etc etc. my wife bought some tray boxes from Toyogo to keep things organised. But it still looks messy to me.. hahaha.. Udden Trolley - for putting our cooking ingrediants and etc becuase our stove area not enough space... Wife cooked pasta for us yesterday. yummy! sorry to flood your t-blog with my pics. hehehe.. i shall post these at my t-blog too.

yeaaa... most friends and relative sold their hdb to use the proceeds for condo. ur friend's ulu place sound like pungo, sengkang or jurong west areas to me... haha.. nowadays freehold condo $800k should be 2 rooms only right? my uncle bought his 3-bedrooms (1320 sqf) kovan melody for 650k in 2005. now burst over $1.2m le. so, probably ur friend 800k unit will still shoot up. shagged, by then we can sell our hdb, dunno how crazy private prices will be like... probably go into landed? head that landed only for singaporeans? correct?

haaaa.. i wanted exactly the same combi as you. how much did u paid for it? should be around $350 right? yea, i read the part mentioning about wall anchors can be used to secure the posts to the wall. To be safe, i have emailed Ikea to ask them for advice. kekeke.

went ikea last sat. mind already set to buy stolment. but the ikea guy told me that slotment not advisable for false ceiling area. i called my ID. he said can, no problem one. But his only concern is Ikea's stolment way too cheap, and may have problem with flase ceiling.... since u r the only person i know who have installed stolment, do u think it will work for my flase ceiling? ID said he will need to place a panel of wood inside the flase ceiling after CNY. as this is incur labour to cut the false ceiling, insert wood, paste back ceiling and re-paint it again, i will need to pay $$. arghzzzz.... i really want this stolment....very very much...

Too bad didnt really had a good night sleep. Throughout the night, I was disturbed by this "dong-dong-dong" irritating rhythmic noise from the air-con compressor outside my master bedroom window. But I dunno is it because of the big rain drops falling on the air-con unit, or the air-con itself is cranking this noise due to poor installation or etc… Mine is a Panasonic sys3 inverter. Anyone got such problem too?

sama sama. think all of us here busy with reno until no $$$ and time for CNY clothes shopping... i think i can make myself some recycled clothes using the left over rolls of cabinet laminate, pergo floor laminate and some floor /wall tiles.. haha.. thee are my only assets left. this raining season doesnt help further...

waaa, he really kind leh. hard to find such conractor nowadays. does he do only carpentry work only? i also thinking of doing some carpentry work **** room there. e.g. full height shoes cabinet with a seatee. =)

we went to ikea tampines last sat and saw this $99 table too. so qiao, we are also looking for a white kitchen side table. It was a new item and that's why no inside the catalogue. We wanted it at the first look. but later find it too light weight and frenzy. Eventually, we went for its ancestor, the white $199 kitchen table besides it. I built it up last sat night and it is really solid. =) but it is longer than this $99 by a bit. We bought this udden tray as well. Will show the pictures tonight how they look in the kitchen! =)

yaya, marshmallow was right. it's baby's feeding time. kekeke. kitchen sink pvc pipe noted leaking on Sat night. I sms my ID, he immediately sent the plumber down to repair on Sunday noon. Kudos to his post reno efforts so far. although i have paid all payment to him already. hope he maintains this way. Will probably still engage him after CNY for shoes cabinet work. Lucky koon guys are friendly and helpful during the reno phase and rectification work. but dunno why their end products always got problems. but at least they are responsible to rectify the problem before they all go for long long CNY holidays. it has been raining the past few days. so sianz... wanted to bring my baby to the beach also cannot. but on the other bright side, it felt soooooo warm and cosy hiding in our love nest looking out from the windows at the pouring rains.... this is HOME feeling at its best.

but ur first utility bill SP will charge you $100 for deposit first. but if u look at the utility reading, only less than $5 for the month. dun worry la... water cost litter. electrical work only later stage then do, so they also cant waste much. kekeke all my rectification work done le. but just realised my kitchen sink the bottom drainage pipe is LEAKING too. wth... i never plaster my wall becuase of budget. plaster whole house wall & ceiling = $2.2k plaster for whole house ceiling = $800 I chose the 2nd option becuase my eiling is rock stone effect. in fact, i didnt even wanna spend a single cent on plastering, but rock stone ceiling left me no choice. haiz.. no wonder now my un-plastered wall paint so cui, but ceiling painting so sweee.. haiz..
