ok lah, i help little bit with my little bit of knowledge... and my little bit of experience... if the toilet door is in your MBR, do you mind to have some noise when it open and close ? if you are like me, a very very light sleeper, click click sound of the bi-fold door will drive me crazy ! esp when hubby wakes up at 5am and baby is sleeping with us. i choose to have those swing type glass door. i choose Besglas cos i like their design and my contractor frens say theirs is pricey but good quality.. secondly the direction of the wind flow. in my old house, whenever i open my MBR door, the toilet door will also open. i kept having to walk over to close it ( aircon on ). some good quality bi fold door can last better and feels more solid. my fren house one, give way after a mere 3 years... my mum hse still looks good and feel strong after 5 years. i did ever consider the swing slide door. but concern is, kids might forgot to slide the panel in after swinging it and push ! long run dunno will spoilt or not, the price is oso comparable to Besglas bi fold GLASS door. in my opinion, Besglas is asthetically more pleasing... most if not all, installation is included. you can also check out straits time classified, usually will have list of companies advertising window grilles and doors... they also do toilet doors ... if worst come to worst, i can recommed you my window contractor, been doing my past few houses as well as relatives... compare compare lah... its a free market out there

ermmm, i oso take the panasonic sys 3 non invertor... after i upgrade the insulation to 1/2" thick, the cost is below 2k. so lets say the cost is 2k, does it mean they charge you 1300 for doing the concealment of the pipings ? i m not rich. being human, it is our nature to get the best at the cheapest price but sometime, we may sway sway ended up with more problems. aron have to maintain their services and level of standard cos they knw we are yakking abt them in renotalk. he wun be so stupid to shoot himself in the feet and spoil their reputation here right ? aircon, insulation materials all plus minus the same, most impt is the skill, attitude of installer and after sales services. dats my 1 cent opinion. dun shoot ..

hmmm, have anybody tried using colour grout ? was advised to get colour grout powder ( as close to yr tiles colour ) and mix into the cement. so dun have white lines all over. any experience to share share ?

i use such silent system selectively in my cabinet. the two big drawers where i store my bowls and plates ( all glass or porcelian ) as well as those drawers where the cutlery is kept. cos i cant stand the din and vibrating when closing. . .

yup. the philip one is full panel LED and 100htz. the frame is quite thin, nice and sleek looking. for such spec, philip pricing is quite good liao but to me, still considered out of reach money no enuf. . . last wkend, courts is letting it go at oni 1599, i think usual price is 2k plus. but still out of reach for poor old me... for me, i not too onz on television so can watch and good price can liao. if can last me 5 years, shd be good enuf liao, maybe by dat time, i save enuf $$ and new technology come, maybe, just maybe i can afford to spend... but now, eat porridge and salted egg already...

hello hello. so gum gum i oso getting this. i am getting a 42" for the living and a 32" for the bedroom. went to kong tai. the salesman told me the hard panel is total made in japan. normally telly panel is made in china or taiwan and warranty does not cover the panel after 1st year, so if 2nd year yr panel spoil hor, then no point to repair, might as well throw away... price quoted is quite good . will PM you....

yup. the tupperware rice dispenser is good. cos the rice grain wun be broken and wun have those tiny crawlies... cost abt 100 plus... can buy from those aunties hawking tupperware products. i am oso going to get one. maybe we can do a mass order and get good discount.

dear people, i would like to share my encounter with aron. went down to JE interchange yesterday afternoon to look for him, small small booth niah, all display panasonic aircon but they also carry all the brands. as i need to cool 4 rooms, i thought 2 sets of non invertor system 2 will be good cos i scared if sys 4, the compressor die, then i will really die ! i went to few aircon companies ( gaincity, hongtar, coolserve.... ), told them my requirement, they just simply go along with my " 2 sets of sys 2 ". and i thought i was so clever i told aron my requirements, he ask for my floor plan, calculate all the rooms, ask me abt the usage consumption and told me: " yr masterbed room big, require 12k BTU and as this room is heavy usage, i recommend u take a invertor single split, the other 3 rooms each oni require 9k BTU and recommend u take non invertor sys 3 cos very little usage " wah... , maybe i am too goon but i never thought it could be this equation. cost is oso cheaper than buying 2 set of non invertor sys 2. he patiently went thru with me all the installation materials, cost of upgrading to 1/2" thick insulation plus special price for bracket just for being renotalk forumers. needless to say, i signed with them. he is friendly, not pushy, knowledgable and very open. i like this kinda sales people. total 3 trips. sam, the supervisor, do site survey and remove old aircon, trunking trip and fancoil last trip. very good. gain city oni offer 1 and must pay $50 per additional trips and this gain city salesman, very bad. try to smoke me saying class 0 is inferior, class 1 is the best ( cos they oni carry class 1 ), i mean class 0 is industry standard leh... knn... this kinda small thing oso wanna bluff, how honest and reliable u can be ? i am very happy with aron and would like to thanks all bro and sis for recommending sorry for the long winded story.... kekkekekekke

zelly, u asking me abt the customising of the bed ? the frame itself is 1k. all wood with laminate. i like the solid board underneathe cos those with strips of wood or fabric might give way and i like to know i am sleeping on something solid got special request ht of the bed is 20 inch plus my own mattress 10inch. i got a whooping 30 inch tall bed !! my prev house, i tot 4 big storage drawer under the bed, new house oni 2 cos space restriction. hope it helps

bro neo, u can ask yr carpenter to customise the bed for you. i did mine with 2 large storage drawers to store bedsheets and etc. cost 1K but without the soft cushion headboard lah. cos PVC will tear over time, real leather will spoilt if contact with oil, so the danger of oily scalp rubbing on the headboard....
