Hello I'm not familiar with this term. Usually this comes from a particular school. How did you get this 'term'? No matter what terms are used, this boils down to door and door. And this term should applies to doors within the house rather than otherwise. In olden times, doors can be referred to single/double, yang(odd) and yin(even). I don't think this refers to iron gate and door etc because most houses have it. If really so, then this is making a mole out of a mountain. Rather than not being helpful to answer this question, I'll just share what I'll think it should be (some FS own school of names) that most likely one main door and one side door (mother and son). Having 2 doors of course have its effects and that will depend on where they are located.

Hello Just to add on regarding your dining, you should think of other alternatives when you know where's the facing of your house. If yours fall under the exception category, it may be good to place it there. Don't be dismay about the exterior environment of your house. This is something that comes as a package. Until we investigate and confirm later, there are always ways or remedies to most things. It would be good to add on pics.

Hello. Bd3 doesn't seem to be bigger then bd2 to me. According to your map, the windows seems to be more to the South. If got afternoon Sun, then your window direction should be more to SW/W. You can put the bed by the side of the wall or as suggested above. Well, you''l have to find out. It will make a difference and Ill advice you then. And that will pose another problem. The formation of your environment is not good. The advice would be more appropriate after you manage to get the compass direction. If you like plants, you can place along all the windows. If you feel that too much plants may spoil certain design of the room, then after getting the compass direction will suggest alternatives. Seems like your stove is directly opposite your water point? Can't comment when I don't know the direction. Normally, you shouldn't have your dining expose to your main door. However, there are exceptions. Bad is definite but to what extend or on what area will depend on the facing of your house. No problem but I can't do much without proper info.

Hello Without compass readings, I can just give you a very general comment on the arrangements. Is there any particular reason you want your study in bd2? For putting up bed, it is better not to have the doorway clashing with bed in bd3. You can flatten the angular wall by tearing down or by switching the study to bd3. Otherwise, put up a low partion display or bookshelf just beside the bed to block the doorway. From your unit windows, can you see blk 91? Your unit is adjoining to 88? Put up more plants along your windows. Which's your stove in the kitchen? Your dining can only be advised if I know the direction. The rest of the interior are quite ok except for your exterior. You're lucky to have blk 90/91 in front. Is the height of blk 88 same on both left and right?

Deadly Five Yellow And Three Killings
Mr Chong replied to app88's topic in Bazi Consultation by Mr Chong
Hello Also give me the time of that day's reno. If you insist on moving in in Nov, put up the birth year of each family members here. And you'll have to follow some procedures. Also, put up your floor plan with compass readings as per pinned instructions. I've to warn you about the seriousness of this matter. You are on your own to decide if you want to move in and follow such instructions and adhere to "all" the details I advice. (Maybe should discuss with your family first) However, you must be firm on your decision and not getting me to just work out an option for you because the checkings and workings are quite a tedious porcess for me. Moreover, you should not mix my methods and advice with others in case you thought you can get the best of both worlds and that will be a grave mistake. Think carefully before you request again. -
Need Fengshui Advice On My Floorplan
Mr Chong replied to simpleguy80's topic in Bazi Consultation by Mr Chong
Hello I can now see the degree marking but need to clarify. Maybe its better that you draw an arrow and point to me the north. Your mbr is having the bed in the way of the doorway. Switch the bed over to the direct opposite. You should install mirror walls around your foyer area. TV console partition is limiting your space around the three rooms. You should not place a partion beside your dining without first investigating the FS Qi. Check and see if you can put additional bright halogen lights outside your main door. -

2) Yes, no bad effect from 5 3) Move-in means you have selected a date. Move-in the rest thereafter. However, if you have activated the 5 yellow, then the furniture arrangement will be another story. -
Stove Facing Kitchen Entrance
Mr Chong replied to armstrong's topic in Bazi Consultation by Mr Chong
Hello It is written, “灶有门冲,或梯压,白虎加临主痢疾。“ Stove facing door may not necessary be that bad but the chance is less than 20%. To close one eye and conclude according to the scripts above saves time and less will go wrong. To say that the stove can face the door, then it must be investigated and be substantiated. In this instance, closing the door doesn't help. You can place the floor plan here and I'll help to see if its within the 20% chance. -

Hello Please take note that Tai Sui is at North in 2008. I hope you understand that this can be quite serious. What was the date your reno started? Option 1: Move in next year. Option 2: After you tell me the reno date. -
In Feng Shui, there are many methods. It all depends. I would say a good house can be created.

Stove, Sink And Washing Machine Position
Mr Chong replied to per_sur's topic in Bazi Consultation by Mr Chong
Hello Can't visualise. Better that you load a plan/pic here. -
Hello In Feng Shui, we are also mindful about 形. If the form is not appropriate for the environment avoid it. Just like sharp edges and so on. Especially when you're sleeping, most susceptible. Therefore, observe around your room to protect yourself when you sleep....many hours of unconciousness!!

Hello No, it is not advisable to put curtain in kitchen in case of fire. If kitchen is small, try to face the fridge door away from toilet. Keep the toilet door close at all times.

Hello You've asked a 'big' question. If this is my website, I would have straightaway answered with the shortest sentence possible. This is also one area where masters consider it secret, others may get offended and the rest may steadfastly want to debate around it based on their 'schools' theory. Every master/ practitioner/expert is entitled to a certain respect and it is not necessary for me to comment. As I don't have the time to enter into a long discussion, what I'll do is to put down some information and if you have enough foundation, you'll understand. And so will the experts. Before you commit into 三元九运, which is 3 Era of 180 yrs, 60yrs in cycle 1, 2, 3, middle 60yrs 4,5,6 and latter 7, 8, 9 each 20yrs, you must understand that there are others using 二元八运. Yin/ Yang, Shan Shui of 1-4 period and 6-9 period. 3 Era is on the basis of the crossing/meeting of wood star and earth star (Jupiter and Saturn). 2 Era is on the basis of 阳爻 9 yrs, 阴爻 6 yrs. So eg. period 8 震卦 9yrs, 6yrs, 6 yrs altogether 21 yrs. Now, ponder over this: Ok, if got time, I'll write next time. If you're a keen learner on 3 Era, you can learn more from 沈氏玄空学。When you read carefully, you may find your answer there. Some of what I've written above is not found in 沈氏。

Hello A fridge keeps your food. The direction which it faces is important. A toilet is always dirty no matter how you clean. Even if you personally ensure that, it doesn't mean your guest or your family members will. Actually, a fridge besides a toilet is also not good at all. Other than hygiene, you do not eat your dinner facing the toilet. And the same goes for food that is going to be eaten later. It is inauspicious. If you base your stove facing on the same principle, you do so also for your fridge.

Hello You are not encouraged to place a ceiling fan in your bedroom. You can put a standing fan instead on a selected location.

Hello No, its not ok.

Hello I use black for certain living wall too. Don't be too concern. Use any colors as long as you feel good. The only thing you need to take note is not to make the whole living black. One more thing, when you use dominant black, make sure you have sufficient brightness during the day. If during the day, your living still looks dim, you need to make some changes.

Hello Haha.....door can face any direction. Bad direction can become good and good directions can become bad. North and South facing are preferred by the Chinese because of no morning and afternoon Sun. Since the Shang Dynasty, burials were already aligned South/ North. Not good to have neighbor facing yours directly. But not necessary bad if you have an auspicious door direction. Hopefully their door is not too close to yours.

Fengshui Advice For A Resale Floor

In the Flying Star section, I mentioned about Yin and Yang. Over here on YiJing, I'm also talking about Yin and Yang. Therefore, one should find that Yin and Yang is an indispensible principle. Some quick fixer usually want a sure-fired method to proper. Again sometimes it work and some time it doesn't. This has something to do with Yin and Yang too. Yang is not Yang at the extreme and Yin is not Yin when also at the extreme. However, Yang stretch further to change but Yin retreat instead. Changing can be better or for worse and that will depend on the feel and knowledge/ experience of the practitioner. The same applies to Ling Shen Zheng Shen. Being too fixing on the two and disregard other factors usually distort the truth or results. Then again why can't depend on English translated books especially YiJing. Very simple answer: Because of the meaning within the language and the mindset during that dynasty. ZhouYi was based on 乾为首。But there was also written during about that era 坤为首。Therefore what we learn is not just change but the ancient 'chinese' thought of change. Many books whether in English or Chinese also got debates or confused or ignore to comment on 大衍之数五十。Some said certain words need to be removed in order to compliment the previos pargragh, others comments on mistakes. And there were different schools too that gave explanation in different ways around it. Another example, say a 乾卦。Some use descriptions like sky, horse, strong, round and etc. Others say its heavy metal, father figure and also etc. Nothing wrong with that but what do they understand? Some authors commented that it can be represented by the 4 season. That's good too. If you were to ask me, then I'll explain: Qian is a law of unstoppable force. On Earth, it can be represented by the "beginning", " prosper/ growth", " gains/ reap" and " conserve". Of course there may be better words to represent but the essence as such. Using these words instead of the 4 seasons allow a metaphysist to apply the concept of Qian universally rather than tied down by a weather description. So have patience and becareful what and how you read.

Fengshui Advice For A Resale Floor
Mr Chong replied to HPwizard's topic in Bazi Consultation by Mr Chong
Hello Go ahead with whatever colors you like. Try to put some indoor plants around your sofa area/ TV console area or near the window. On the floor around your sink, put 7 white pebbles. Keep your mbr toilet clean and door open always. If can, use lesser. Try to draw the curtains or lower the blinds when you leave the mbr door open. Put a pot of coins beneath the window. Add coins every now and then. Don't put table light around your bedside. Put some brown pebbles along the missing corner wall of bd2. Put your wife's pic in your mbr around the wall beside the cabinet facing the toilet. If you want to put radio in mbr, this can be the location. Although as a workbench, keep this room quiet. Place some indor plants. Dining area change to 6 lamps or add anotherr 3. If haven't shift in, do so in September. Just a few steps within the main door, put a halogen light. Keep the light on whenever the main door is open. In the chinese month of dec, don't play with fire at your door area. -
Out Of Idea To Place My Bed In Mbr
Mr Chong replied to PROX's topic in Bazi Consultation by Mr Chong
Hello Is the highway near to the height of your unit? By right it is not suggestable to headset against the window. However, since there's not enough space, you need a thick headboard. Your contractor will know what to do (usually stuff cork or sawdust in between). Hopefully you have a high window sill, raise the height to same level (Or set the bed near to floor level). Before you do all these, make sure you feedback my first question.
