Fengshui Advice For A Resale Floor

Recommended Posts

Step 1: Go to your main door, standing in-line with the door frame looking out, take a compass reading (use a good engineer compass). 95 deg E

Take 3 steps back and take another reading. 92 deg E

Step 2: Go to the side of your house with the most windows and take a reading. 90 deg E

Step 3: Stand in the centre of your house and take another reading. 90 deg E

Mr Chong, We’ll like to seek your advice on the fengshui of our flat. I will pm my wife’s and mine DOBs to you later.

Here is our floor layout

where red dots indicate the positions where I took the direction bearings.

Looking at our furniture arrangement, is there anything that we need to change/shift/add on? We will be using light colors like lily white, apple white & rose white for the walls and sand color for the bedroom doors.

Kitchen

The kitchen cabinet was left behind by previous owner. Positions of the washing machine & refrigerator are fixed because of the raised platforms there.

MasterBedroom (MBR)

Due to the position of the MBR bathroom, there is only one location to put our bed and built-in wardrobe.

Bedroom 2

The cabinet(1) will be used as a storage purpose. We may consider putting a workbench which I do my spraying work. Btw, do we have to do anything for the "missing corner" in this room?

Bedroom 3

This room will be our study/workplace.

Hall/Dining areas

We have 3 lamps each (the pendant type) on the hall & dining ceilings.

View at main door

View at main door looking at 45 deg to the right

View from kitchen windows

Thanks.

Hello

Looking at our furniture arrangement, is there anything that we need to change/shift/add on? We will be using light colors like lily white, apple white & rose white for the walls and sand color for the bedroom doors.

Go ahead with whatever colors you like. Try to put some indoor plants around your sofa area/ TV console area or near the window.

Kitchen

The kitchen cabinet was left behind by previous owner. Positions of the washing machine & refrigerator are fixed because of the raised platforms there.

On the floor around your sink, put 7 white pebbles.

MasterBedroom (MBR)

Due to the position of the MBR bathroom, there is only one location to put our bed and built-in wardrobe.

Keep your mbr toilet clean and door open always. If can, use lesser. Try to draw the curtains or lower the blinds when you leave the mbr door open. Put a pot of coins beneath the window. Add coins every now and then. Don't put table light around your bedside.

Bedroom 2

The cabinet(1) will be used as a storage purpose. We may consider putting a workbench which I do my spraying work. Btw, do we have to do anything for the "missing corner" in this room?

Put some brown pebbles along the missing corner wall of bd2. Put your wife's pic in your mbr around the wall beside the cabinet facing the toilet. If you want to put radio in mbr, this can be the location.

Although as a workbench, keep this room quiet.

Bedroom 3

This room will be our study/workplace.

Place some indor plants.

Hall/Dining areas

We have 3 lamps each (the pendant type) on the hall & dining ceilings.

Dining area change to 6 lamps or add anotherr 3.

If haven't shift in, do so in September.

Just a few steps within the main door, put a halogen light. Keep the light on whenever the main door is open.

In the chinese month of dec, don't play with fire at your door area.

Mr Chong,

Thank for your advice. Just to clarify some doubts.

On the floor around your sink, put 7 white pebbles.

Can we place the 7 white pebbles directly under the sink, meaning they will be concealed inside the kitchen cabinet?

Put a pot of coins beneath the window. Add coins every now and then.

Eventually the pot will become full as more coins are added in. I presume we can always remove some coins when it is fully filled right?

Although as a workbench, keep this room quiet.

The compressor which I use for spraying will be a bit noisy, will that be alright? Most of the spraying work will be done on weekends.

Dining area change to 6 lamps or add anotherr 3.

It is quite difficult to add 3 more identical lamps to the dining area ceiling now. Is there other alternative? Can I use 3 standing lamps instead? These 6 lamps don’t have to be turned on all at the same time right?

If haven't shift in, do so in September.

We are moving in during November after our customary wedding. Is that alright?

Just a few steps within the main door, put a halogen light. Keep the light on whenever the main door is open.

Does it have to be halogen light? Can we use other type of light? How about battery powered type? Can we have it be mounted on the pillar wall beside the main door?

Mr Chong,

No, you have to display them.

Eventually the pot will become full as more coins are added in. I presume we can always remove some coins when it is fully filled right?

No, you put an additional pot if you still want to add further. Otherwise, you can stop when it is full.

The compressor which I use for spraying will be a bit noisy, will that be alright? Most of the spraying work will be done on weekends.

No, not alright. An alternative is to move and do it near to the wall shared with the mbr.

It is quite difficult to add 3 more identical lamps to the dining area ceiling now. Is there other alternative? Can I use 3 standing lamps instead? These 6 lamps don’t have to be turned on all at the same time right?

Yes you can. Or 3 bulbs table lamps. No, you have to switch on all together if use for long hours.

We are moving in during November after our customary wedding. Is that alright?

Not a favorable month for both but can compensate with a good date.

Does it have to be halogen light? Can we use other type of light? How about battery powered type? Can we have it be mounted on the pillar wall beside the main door?

Better to be halogen. Otherwise can try for energy saving white as down light having reflective sides around. Don't waste money with battery type. Prefered to be at the ceiling just a few steps within.
