  1. The induction stove uses electricity correct? If cook everyday and brew soup etc. will it be more expensive than using gas cooker? My bro-in-law new house using induction cooker by Taiyo and also they seldom cook and he likes eating Maggi mee. That day he show me, the boiling up of water is quite fast.
  2. Hi Aron, Thanks for sharing, very informative. But i hv one doubt. A lot of ppls say it is no good to set the fancoil fan speed to low or quiet mode as easily get condensation, is it true? But if upgraded to thicker insulation & copper pipes, chances of condensation should be quite low right?
  3. May i know what settings you do with your fancoil? Not sure if we use to very cold as we set at 23 it seem quite hot, then we set at 21 it is also cooling only but not the coldness we wanted. Or is it lately the temp quite hot so aircon will not be cold too?

  4. the bed area. Is there any way for the vane to stay as per our setting throughout the whole night? Is it need to use the smart set then it will be ok? Hope to hear fm u soon.

  5. Hi kimsim,

    How are you?

Finally after 9 months plus i got full refunds for the Panasonic aircon set and replaced it with Mitsubishi inverter 2 days back. But can i check with you, for the vane direction whenever i set at the 5th level after approx. 1 hr it will automatically moves to the 2nd horizontal level and stay there. Then we will feel not so cold & a bit hot on ...

  6. Can the digital keylock be used on existing wrought iron gate? Which model more suitable with fingerprint functions?
  7. Hi Aron, So do u mean G22 will be better since it is thicker than G23? Pls advise. Tks!
  8. It seem like there are quite a nos. of complaints that the compressor super noisy.
  9. Some queries on aircon installation materials. What's the difference of gas pipe gauge 22 & 23? And for the drainage pipe is it necessary to use 16mm instead of 13mm? Armaflex Class O or 1 better? And for thickness 1/2" is it sufficient to prevent sweating or condensation?
  10. Any comments for Mitsubishi Non-Inverter System 3 Aircon that uses R410a? Is it as quiet as claim? What i mean the compressor when in operation if you closed windows or when your bed next to the window can hear any sound etc. Previously was using Carrier and it is quiet for both compressor & fancoil unit. Would greatly appreciate any advises. TIA
  11. Hi Kimsim,

    How are you getting on?

My aircon problems still not solved :(

And Gain City & Panasonic started to blame on our old pipings but the charges is not worth for us to pay for a junk machine.

So far how's your Mitsubishi aircon? Is the compressor quiet?

    Best Regards,

  12. That's what i read from the newspaper on comments that the oven can produce same effect, how true i am not sure. For the basket i think is quite small for usage although i also small family. Bigger i think better coz can fried more things at one time.
  13. Now the part on Panasonic technicians on the day of co-inspection. They did a mob of using the correct piping size to the fancoil unit and their conclusion is that we must change the pipings as they say incorrect or old pipings might cause sound of the compressor to travel to & fro the pipes. Before they arrive, the sound from the compressor belongs to medium low pitch humming & drumming sound. After they fixed back the orginal pipings install by Gain City, in abt 5 mins after they left the compressor sound with a high pitch whistling & whining sound all the way w/o stopping surrounding the room even in daytime and not to mention in the quiet night. We quickly call panasonic techicians thinking if they are able to detour back to check if anything not fixed correctly coz the problems become more serious after the dismantle. But to our disappointment over the phone the supervisor told us if dismantle in & out will cause to have more sound and there is nothing they can do. See this is the kind of service we get from using their system which is so fragile that if got complains, problems will not be solved but it will create more problems out after they do the checking etc.
  14. Panasonic change a new set of compressor for us on 22/03/11 but still with humming & drumming sound. So last wk co-inspection with both technicians, supervisor and manager from Gain City & Panasonic they say is b'cos we using old pipings & the MBR old piping size is bigger, so wanted us to change all 3 rooms to new pipings. To do that Gain City will charge us S$750. I think it is quite ridiculously as they cannot try to pass all the faults to us who is the consumer. The reasons why i say that will be explained as follows :- 1) We went to Compass Point branch & being served by Mr Haslan. On the spot we told him very clearly that our previous masterbedroom fan coil unit is 12KBTU and if it is ok to reuse pipings and also will there be any problems to reuse pipings as we don't want to save on the mere rebate of S$150 from total to create more problems. But Mr Haslan say so far no complains on reusing pipings, so we trusted his words. 2) On the day installation, the technicians did not mention a thing that the masterbedroom old pipings thickness is bigger that the panasonic fancoil & just go ahead with the installation. When later problems arises, we ask the technicians why they never highlight to us is different piping. They say usually no problems lor..... if got problem then ask customers change pipings. After Mr Haslan call me yesterday & inform me their charge is S$750 we were displeased with it. Of course we don't expect not to pay anything but it is so bad of them trying to push all responsiblities back to us and Mr Haslan denied got the impression that we told him abt our masterbedroom 12KBTU. We do remember very clearly telling him that and also in order to rebate the S$40 checking fees for purchasing from them, Mr Haslan photostat a copy of the invoice and the remarks written clearly by the technician 12KBTU.
  15. If you ask Mitsubishi i think their technician will tell you is wall not even or bracket not installed properly. Or maybe they will be more responsible to try to find out where the fault is and solved your problems in a more professional way. It is the same case for my panasonic non-inverter sys 3 which i install less than a year & probably will change to another brands coz of the repeatedly problems not able to solved. I did complain abt the same issues like you and what they do is just to put thick foam on the gap between the wall & fan coil unit, it is quite ugly but it is how they solved it. If you hv thick foam or cardboard paper, try to insert on the areas which u think might hv cause the vibration.
  16. If i am not wrong i saw from one of the newsapaper comments, the oven also got the same function as this fryer. And for the price i think quite high, the basket seem quite small.
  17. Hi Aron, As per our earlier tele-conversation, is this promo still valid for the Mitsubishi Electric Inverter System 3 that you quoted me? Also can you pls send me the quote for both Mitsubishi Electric inverter & non-inverter system 3 and what is the BTU & model no. Thank you very much.
  18. Thank you but suddenly Panasonic say no stocks for the compressor and need to wait till shipment come in mid March, so now problems not yet solved.
  19. Yes hopefully, they will be changing for us next week, will update here again.
  20. Yes, panasonic had agreed to change a brand new condenser unit for us. Now still under processing & waiting for Gain City to make the necessary arrangements to install it. According to Gain City supervisor, he say the sound come from the compressor so it will transmit thru pipe and it is classified as second grade of noise. There is 1st grade of noise whereby like bees busy humming sound. Also i want to ask if you did re-use your old pipings or newly installed pipings? One for the forumers mention for inverter is quiet & no humming sound at all after closing the window. He mention for non-inverter one will got sound problems. Or maybe is it only Sharp inverter are noisy?
  21. Hi kimsim, Panasonic just agreed to a 1-1 exchange for a brand new condenser unit set, now still in process.
  22. Carrier brand no longer in the market, now is Toshiba. U mean change brand? Not sure if Gain City can do that?
  23. Actually Panasonic technicians also say same thing, their machine are like that one. If u explain the sound to them, everytime they came say don't hv but Gain City supervisor can hear leh. But Gain City supervisor finally manage to persuade them to change a new condenser unit for us because the supervisor say can hear the noise very clearly in the morning not to mention the quiet night. And our case already dragged on for 4 months plus and we as customer got no choice to abandon masterbedroom & sleep in common room. The supervisor say it is compressor faulty. If after change still same problems, then Gain City will find other ways to help solve our problems.
