  1. Absolutely. afterall, it is just potential per se.
  2. ask your agent to pen that down for u and u may have a case. I was told by my agent when i bought my amk hdb 8 years ago would be enbloc, so should i sue her now? Doing your due diligence is the most important. Forget about what agents say cause if u look into the evening chinese dailies, the agents talk up the mkt to entice more buying.
  3. What makes u think the seller would not sell lower? my hdb was bought from aunty who paid 40k more than me. And a predecessor for my current private property paid 200k more than what i pay now.
  4. My quote came from them. I think they now too busy after they have been featured in the Wan Bao evening newspaper.
  5. Hi Look very attractive. Would appreciate it if you tie me up with your connection. Wd
  6. can you ask your ID what will be the cost for my required size?
  7. oh it is freaky expensive for $2.1k. I just called up a mirror supplier and was quoted $1580 including installation.
  8. We have a wall at the dining wall which we like to put up a full mirror. It will be 3.35 m long and around 2.6m measuring from the finished floor level to the ceiling. Does any1 here have any mirror contractor to provide some design recommendation such as the types of mirror (tinted versus nornal mirror), segmental vesus single piece, etc. and the quotations for the various proposals. Cheers WD
  9. Begof On top the table is an existing false ceiling which is also round in shape, so I got to stick with round table to mirror the false ceiling. Not much choice that I have and the round table is given to me by my mum..FOC. I share the sentiment that the living room and dry kitchen are small in my opinion, I wish I would have more $$$$..heheh Cheers WD An update to the Ground floor, 2nd floor and 3rd floor Ground floor http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/8185/fl...groundlevel.jpg 2nd floor http://img842.imageshack.us/f/floorplannersecondlevel.jpg/ 3rd floor http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/7536/fl...rthirdlevel.jpg

  13. I was at gain city looking at LG 50 PK 550 (Plasma) and noticed that there were flickerings and lag. It was a football demo but these artifacts maybe due to the poor source output.
  14. I am now pondering the placement of my sofa before I proceed to buy them. I am initially comtemplating to place my 3 seater sofa as indicated in the left unit. However, I thought that this wasn't so good as the sofa has no backing and people will be walking behind the sofa from the main entrance. Hence, option 2 came up. As there is a 300 mm height difference between the living room and dining area, I thought perhaps I could shift the 3 seater to the side and place either 2 x 1 seater or a 2 seater in front of the TV. http://img268.imageshack.us/f/livinganddiningareas.jpg/ Any views? Btw, I am also going to install a mirror at the dining area (indicated in yellow colour), comtemplating whether it should be full or half height. In addition, I intent to install them in 3 sections so that replacement can be in a smaller piece rather than a single piece if anything goes wrong. Would like to hear from the people here. Rgds WD
  15. I just bought a unit which is 20 yo and was surprised that the previous owner did concealed wiring. But this is giving me big headache as some of swithces are not working and this means that I have to hack some of the walls to troubleshoot to find the wiring and replace the plaster subsequently. I personally prefer to run trunking along the skirting as it is easy to identify the final circuit as well as to trouble shoot the LAN points if internet does not work. Besides, it is much easier to add/delete power points or ethernet port using exposed trunking method as and when u like. So it is aesthetics versus ease of maintenance of repair/replacement, the choice is all yours! Cheers Wd88
  16. I say too much sunlight... Btw, I am really thinking of buying the big ice cream umbrella to provide the shade.
  17. Have you found a solution? I am looking to do an awning for my wet kitchen/yard as 30% of the area is exposed, I cannot understand why it was not covered fully in the first place. cheers WD
  18. This is a 20 yo house so I think I can only check with the previous owner. I understand that the leakage started when the contractor changed the water tank which is next to my unit some time last year or this year. The funny thing is that the water tank is located at a higher level than the seepage area which I noticed. Just had a chat with the seller's agent and was informed that the seepage issue was remedied but I am not so sure as I still smell dampness and paint peeling off in the storeroom where that particular wall is next to the water tank. Anyway, I am getting the previous owner to assist on this matter to talk to the MC to get the contractor to remedy before I take over officially in a month time. But being an engineer myself, I am quite keen to learn how to repair water seepage. I always see repairer using PU grouting approach which I think is a lousy method as it only solves the problem temporarily by pushing the water to another area of least resistance path via capilliary actions (I used this method to chassis stiffening for my car as well ). I had also done some google search on this topic and to understand what I can do to stop this problem permanently. Therefore, any constructive comments are welcome. cheers WD
