My gate and window grills were customised and done by andrew from tay boon tat too. I must say that he did a really good job. It is not easy reproducing the retro type of grills and gate and he managed to do so based on a picture i gave him. Thumbs up for the young chap!

Last year I went down to royal fanco after reading all the good comments on renotalk. I bought a brown round glass basin. Was charged slightly more than $100. there was no stock in the shop so i paid a small deposit. Immediately after that, I saw the same exact sink a few stores down the road - poh joo- going for $70. I was shocked! So i cooked up some excuse.. I told royal fanco my id bot the basin for me already so they refunded the deposit. And I bot the basin from poh joo instead. I dun uderstand why rf has so many positive feedback when they overcharged me by so much. SO my advice is - do ur own research.. chekc the prices from a few stores. dun rely solely on renotalk. But generally, prices are lower in jalan besar then balastier. Good luck!

I find it strange that you would pay him 17k upfront. Usually the money is paid in stages, upon completion of certain portion of the works. This will be stated in the contract.

use 'combat' ant control. Effective! Basically the ants are tricked into bringing the poison back to their nests. The poison will wipe out the queen n all the rest of the ants. Works like a charm for me.

That's not correct. A PE is only hired to endorse works that have not been approved by HDB. For eg, if an application to hack a particular wall has been rejected by HDB, you can hire a PE to see if the hacking of that wall affects the block's structure and apply for HDB'spproval again if it does not.

Hey I hope this helps cos it worked for me before. If you can locate the holes in the furniture where these pests come from, use a syringe n needle ( from pharmacy) to inject insecticide (i sprayed baygon into a plastic cup)into the holes. After the area dries up, fill the holes with wood putty (from hardware shop).

oh dear now I am seriously worried. I can already see scratches on the frames, some as long as 10cm. Is that proof enough for me to reject the frames?
