nowadays HDBs are using pre-fab building also but I dun see them having bay windows. from what I know, before 2008, SLA do not charge the developers for unusable areas like a/c ledge so developers started building bay windows & planters but included those unusable areas in the GFA. Somehow SLA amended that ruling in 2008 so the new developments after that have lesser of these now.

Fire Exit Door Locked On Both Sides

Do make sure the doors are manually locked & not magnetically locked coz usually fire exits are magnetically locked & there should be a Green-coloured 'break-glass' switch to unlock the doors in an emergency. If the doors are locked in these arrangements, then I believe they should not violate any rules. -
This my toilet tat has got a bay window too, though it's frosted, we still install aluminium venetian blinds as double protection coz in the nite, yur pretty sillouette will show on the frosted window

All my lightings are bought from them, very satisfied with them so far, they even agree when I asked them to deliver for a few crystals & bulb exchange

Just to share some insights I've learnt...different length of T5s operate in different voltage will result in a different tone of light even if the lamps are from the same manufracturer. So take note for cove lightings, the length of T5s should be same as & when possible.

Vert Solutions got a roadshow at Tangs Orchard & Vivo, worth to take a look, they got a pretty range of fire extinguishers... I tot this is very nice...

I ever heard somewhere that Philips T5 are the most consistent, i.e. when placed side by side in case of cove lightings, the color remains constant. Cheapest from my opinion is from www.lightings.com.sg

Hi, if you are doing minor reno, L-box, false ceilings etc, is best to find the contractor first then when they are doing it, you can go purchase yur ceiling fan, lights then ask the contractor to fix for u.

I cash & carry mine from JB, convert to SGD is only abt $200, 1.6x2.3m...is those kind u usually see on display at furnishing shops u can also try out Mustafa Centre, ard $299/pc but quality wise u have to decide yurself
