Can someone advise how much does those normal bedroom lights cost? Abt 40 cm in diameter type? Just a simple round shape clipped on by 3 legs to the ceiling. I got quoted $60 each. Can I just buy the cover? Coz my old one chipped off along the side.

Your Daikin Sys 3 is non-inverter? What's ur fan coil config? Sounds a bit exp...

Mainly because I'm installing Daikin and they're one of the official dealers plus the company is sizeable so not worried that they'll go missing if there shld be any problems with the installation. I went down to their office in Defu lane, was served by a guy who has zero sale gimmicks when talking to us. Didn't push us to buy on the spot but agreed to pop down our house the very next day to inspect the pipings. And their prices lower than Gain City

Oops sorry, is KDK I tried out Mistral at Courts, they tend to vibrate a lot when turned to max power. Saleslady said KDK is brother of another brand, design look almost the same, but can't remember what it is... It's abt 20 bucks cheaper and she said works the same. If you happen to go Taka Best Denki, just find KDK first and you'll spot the other brand next to it.

TDK? If I didn't remember the brand wrongly... it's a lao zhi hao. But more expensive than the other brands. I like the base of the 16" fans, very small but steady.

But it really depends on your usage. If you on all rooms all the time, Daikin is good because it uses only 1 compressor. However, if you only use 1 room, best to get other brands which has split compressor.

Me but my reno was very minimum and I didn't engaged any ID. But I would say that their service is good and delivers on promise. I know there're many horror stories out there of using the lightings/ WC shops recommended by the reno firm but mine was a good experience. I managed to get lowest price from their recommendations, after walking up and down Balestier, Jalan Besar... and my MBR bulb spoilt 3 times but my contractor got the lightings shop to replace it without questions.

How's the workmanship? I went to IMM to look at Daikin... n I get all sorts of different quotes. Looking at system 3, both inverter and non-inverter. Non-inverter ranges from 1.8k to 2.2k, inverter range from 2.6k to 3.2k...

Actually mine takes like 3 sec from the point when the water starts running to feel the hot water. Thereafter, it'll come at full blast heehee!

I'm staying top floor of 28yr-old-flat now, do not feel particular hot but really depends on whether your unit is blocked by surroundings. However, the tap water in the afternoon is hot enough to make a nice cup of milo... not sure abt new flats...

I keep the toilet door opened all the time. Depends on your usage, if you shower and do all kinds of washing there, closing the door will make it stink. My grandparents' place used to be like that.
