  1. Hi, I also bought hangrohe pura vida but my contractor say cannot fit due to exposed piping. Can show me how's yours were fitted? Thnx.
  2. After 2.5 years, my 28444 washer broke down. Lucky or unluckily I bought extended warranty from Harvey Norman. However, not only the subcontractor took 1 whole week to come my place, only to say "oh, think its electronic board spoilt, need to check with Bosch for parts. As they shifting office, parts may be slow to come, u wait long long hor". I really felt like hammering the sub-con! Even though its not HM's fault but it also made me felt like a fool to have bought an extended warranty but having to suffer 2 weeks w/o washing machine (the sub-con finally decided to come after another week to collect that white elephant-literally). Furthermore, the sub-con said "whoa, ur 28444 Made in Germany leh, also spoil"....*blood boiling as I type* NO MORE Bosch or Gaggenau!
  3. Don't worry, it's normal. My condo had compressed marble previously and when I bought resale, changing to marble resulted in only the master bedroom not level. The tiler should be able to 'skim' the marble creating a''slope' into the room. Though not perfect nut it's still not discernible to he naked eyes (but of course our feet can feel it). It's normal for marbles to develop cracks over time. These things are natural, they do weather and age coupled with our tropical climate. In ang mo countries, these are termed 'patina' and highly sought after or their looks. If ou want really durable, easy maintain marble-like tiles, try caserstone, they had started making floor wall tiles other than kitchen top. They are a type of resin (marble mixed, similar to compressed marble) and hardy but cost an arm/leg.
  4. I'm using ezzliving and don't like it. Reason being it's a stupid design where U need to use your fingers to release a 'catch' before it can spring back up. And you got to release it softly else it sprang back up and whack the top (imagine slamming your cupboard without soft closure system). Furthermore, hanging space on two outermost poles (mid point) are being used for the extension rollers, meaning less useable space. I kinda regretted buying it (didn't know my contractor had sourced this brand for me until after installation). It costs me $730 (contractor price) but $750 if you approach them directly. Saw another brand at furniture mall beach road. Not only is it lighter to use ('cos my wife is pretty weak) but the system seems more intuitive (don't have to put my finger at risk!!!). However, it is slightly more expensive at $788. Do check it out
  5. Crap! They only wanted to sell limited numbers of KitchenAid Mixers (white colour) at $659 instead of the usual $779 you pay in Tangs/Robinsons. On Sunday, they decided to release 7 units (red colour) at $729! They know this is 1 of the most coveted kitchen items and they deliberately jacked up prices for no apparent reason. Of cse, we were **** pissed!
  6. Understood that Bau series are not made in Germany but rather assembled in Thailand. Anybody any feedback? Thnx
  7. Ok, bgt the kitchen mixer (non extendable) for $100+ 2day though the extendable would cost over double. Went to Sims Ave 2day, would go the other outlet at Natural Cool Hub tom to buy basin mixers (hopefully can get 50% off). Thnx
  8. Went to the IMM and discovered by chance. Bgt the 3-in-1 shower system (dunno wat is it called but consist of both rain shower, handheld and mixer?) for $800+, 35% off. Probably went there late, realised the kitchen mixer (also 35%) sold out. Should I try the other retailers listed in the papers? What items were going for 50%??
  9. Hi, will appreciate any feedback with regards to above firm. Thnx in advance!
  10. I'm being quoted $200-220 per foot run for caesarstone. Anyone know where/how to get it cheaper?
  11. I believe the three common materials are: 1) Solid top 2) Granite 3) Caesarstone Solid top is the cheapest ranging from $80 - $130/ft run. If you're using white colour, advisable to use the more expensive acrylic top due to non-stain, non-yellowing properties.
  12. Hi Tiler Seng, may I know who would you recommend to go for marble tiles? I'm looking for white marbles with 'running' lines (but not so dark ones) inside. Thnx
