Hi, Ely Thank you for stopping by....I saw your blog and admire all the sharp pictures and your unit with spacious layout! I really didn't pay any attention when I bought those accessories, as long as they didn't burn my pocket! Everything rely on that hardworking ID who brought me to the shop along Balestier Road. It was the sales lady who recommended all the items, and I only answered her one question - is the water pressure high?

It is a daily bible of my 2-month long extreme makeover reno journey......some forumers told me they take days to finish reading all pages...and some with tears after reading my family background. Some even PM to give me their respect & encouragement Your layout? Fantastic Gen 2 EM, and I love it especially the big balcony! If I had a chance to buy another HDB flat, I will definitely aim for Gen 2 EM, or at least one with big balcony! You have read in my blog that I am a super difficult customer!! Are you the fussy & 'picky' type like me?

You mean you like the Tsunami flow?? You can bring along the aerator to my place on 10-April.....I will fix it on the sink mixer....the children are children...my heart was throbbing when they turn on to the maximum flow....

Finally posted the pictures of the tap mixers in my post #852 here: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...mp;#entry621965

Tap Mixers I was posting a comment on a forumer blog on selection of tap mixers. Here is my experience.... The tap mixer installed in my MBR toilet. Water flow is like rain-shower, slow and water saving.... For the Wash Basin: For shower: The taps installed in common bathroom: For the Wash Basin: water flow is too powerful...waste waste waste water! I have to install the aerator water saving feature at tap nozzle... For the shower: Still alright as it won't take donkey years to fill up a pail of water for washing....

So co-incident.....I just read your recent posts on your reno start date & flipped thru your BaZi chart. I was already lying on my bed, but just couldn't sleep. I was about to share the severity on clashes of heavenly stem & earthy branches. I will only disclose to you if you asked me....it is the basic code of ethics... You can PM me....

That's good timing for me. We meet around 2pm? Hope sister Marshy & Mr & Mrs Kobekala can make it. BaZi is 8 characters aka 4 pillars of Destiny...using your Year, month, date & hour of birth, to derive the prediction in terms of wealth, health, career, relationship matters. It is read in conjunction with luck cycle & annual pillar.

BaZi Finally completed the last lesson & awarded with Certificate of Practice in BaZi! Those who have learnt this subject will know that it is easy to learn but difficult to interprete. It will take me a while to perfect my skills in reading BaZi charts. With Feng Shui knowledge, we can apply 'yong shen pei san' for cure & enhancement. I guess I can resume my post on this topic & share it in my blog here.

I just chanced upon this thread now. Hope it is not too late to share my experience. When I was renovating my flat 3 months back, I didn't have a clue how city gas heater works. What I did was to give City Gas a call, and they provide good customer service. Immediately, they get a technician to call me, fix an appointment to visit the site which was still hacking in progress. I seek his opinion how the gas heater works, and best location to install the heater tank. This technician can give good advices. Then, I place my order and when the wall tiles are ready at the location where I would place the gas heater, I arrange for them to come down to do the installation. As I am also using gas cooker, I also arranged for them to come one more round to do the gas connection once my renovation is almost 99% complete, to hook up the gas supply to both heater and cooker. You can visit my reno t-blog where I have penned the chronological account of activities during the whole renovation, and you can roughly estimate when you need to call them up. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?s=...st&p=601836

White Horse...all clean clean Newer design tiles! Unlike most bigger showroom where you get to see all the 'chap pa lang' tiles including those outdated ones!! You are there to choose only a particular floor tiles... You will be like entering into a jungle just to find the right tree! For me, it was the ID who is having the headache of choosing the tiles for me!! He has been to many showroom in his field of work, so I guess he just zoom in to one place where he can get what he has in mind for home owners. Although I was making my selection while ID was busy browsing elsewhere, he will tell you from his experience whether your selection of tiles is good or bad. I like those tiles with 'waterfall' resort feel, but he said not easy to maintain, grow algae & hard to scrub off, toilet tiles must be smooth type. Then when I choose those floor tiles with wood feel, he said don't try to mix them; wood must be natural wood, very ugly if you get those ceremic floor tiles with wood grain feature! In the end, accept his reasoning & let him do the selection for me. For the tap mixers, I believe it is depending on the water pressure of your unit. I stay on lower floor, so the water flow is really like Tsunami. I have taken few shots & will upload in my post later.

Hallo, footprint Looks like reno is progressing well! Jia-you!

Wow....$200 for a trash bin....my heart 'pain'..... But think again, you already have a beautiful kitchen, it pays to buy beautiful bin to blend in! Go ahead! Good choice!

Dear footprint, You are right, my ID is really good....his following up skills is #1...before, during and after renovation! Here are the progress photographs...... This is where I kept the leftover wallpapers....in the store room! The installer in-progress.... So....the before & after pictures.. kudos to my ID - Donny, for his extra efforts which made him our extra-ordinary ID!!!

This evening, my diligent ID asked the contractor to come & install the leftover wallpapers. He said he was at my place for housewarming last month & saw I have left over wallpapers kept in the store room. So, he proposed to use them on the walls at the door way between the bedrooms. He texted me and said "don't pay the contractor, he will settle it"!! hmmmm.... Really a Very nice ID who goes extra miles to please customer although the wall paper is not included in the contract!!

Pole System Walkin Wardrobe
mae29 replied to steventay's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
My unit has high ceiling, and the pole system wardrobe guys have to lug the huge doors up the stairs as they can't fit in the lift! The biggest piece is the aluminium sliding doors for my customized store room, from the same pole system. Visit my blog, post #316, page 8, for more pictures. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...5996&st=301 -
