Finally received the email with the attachment for 'Concealment Guidelines': 1. Designate a Location: (i) Designate a particular location, such as a designated closet, where all the telecommunication facilities can be installed within. This will facilitate connections and ensure that the installation can be performed presentably & neatly. 2. Ensure “Conduit or Path” To The Designated Location So That Fibre Can Be Installed For Condominiums / HDBs / High Rise Residential Homes (ii) Ensure or cater for an empty 20mm uPVC conduit or PVC trunking compartment to the above location (e.g. the closet). The conduit should be installed in straight runs or be able to accommodate bending radius of the central line of the conduit not less than 100mm.(iii) A draw rope shall be provided in the empty conduit so that the fibre cable can be installed subsequently. For Landed Homes Ensure 1 empty 50mm diameter uPVC continuous lead-in and underground pipe to be provided from 1m beyond the roadside drain to the designated location. Ensure that there is a draw rope in the empty conduit so that the fibre cable can be installed subsequently. This will facilitate the installation of fibre into the home & near points of connection. 3. Ensure Accessories At The Designated Location Is Catered For (iv) Install twin 13A power point/socket at the designated location (e.g. Within the closet), so as to provide power to any equipment. (v) Install RJ45 patch panel. No. of ports should be greater than the no. of rooms of units. 4. Internal Wiring / Cabling (vi) Owners are encouraged to install Cat 6 cables for internal cabling from the patch panel to all rooms. This will ensure internal cabling connectivity. It’s important to note that Unshielded Twisted Pair (Cat 6) cables should not exceed 100m runs from the RJ45 patch panel to the RJ45 wall outlet. 5. Concealed Installation (vii) In cases of non-straight runs such as bends and obstacles encountered during cable pulling, the owner’s own contractors must be present to carry out the cutting of access panels. Access panels are recommended to be minimum 450mm x 450mm in size. They can either be removable or permanently sealed after access. (viii) OpenNet contractors do not carry out removal of downlights or any other form of lighting/accessories attached to the false ceiling. The owner’s contractors must be present to do the necessary, if applicable.

Hi, CoffeeMan Many thanks again for your kind concern. The new lift looks quite near, but actually it is opened at the space between the parapat wall between 2 units and quite a distance away. See enclosed floor plan of our block, abstracted from my feng shui final class assignment. Therefore, the EM wave will not affect our units as concurred by my FSM. Infact, I will be using this new lift when it is ready as the Water Theories which I applied - San He Water Theory, 3-Killings Yellow Spring and Xiao Wang Shui water theories are all Auspicious, in addition to Hexagram Reading for tapping the Water flow from new lift to the main door entrance. Side entrance may not be so auspicious although it has favourable water star. the hoarding....

Workers were clearing the debris on Saturday, 27-Nov. Tiles & sands also arrived on Saturday. This is what I saw this morning when I went up to inspect during my lunchtime: General workers are still clearing bags of debris which they packed over the weekend. Can imagine the huge amount of waste generated during demolition & hacking! Sands everywhere Floor Tiles for the livingroom, Dining and Bedrooms Aircon pipe still lying across the floor of master toilet!

North sector belongs to Kan Gua, water star 1. If your career involves water or water related industries or activities, then North sector must not be missing. Here, I am referring to feng shui of home in relation to career.

2nd Floor Hdb Unit = Sure Bad Feng Shui? Any Remedy?
mae29 replied to ykeng's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
I used to stay on 25th floor and love the panaromic birds eye view. However, when I came to view my current flat on lower floor, what I saw was fascinating close to nature view of the trees, river and garden from the window. I am revamping my flat as we really like the place which is unblocked! -

Nowadays most people are staying in high rise building either with or without void deck. Therefore, feng shui applied in olden days may not fit into modern society and we need to apply the old techniques in modern ways. -
This weekend I will be busy choosing washer and fridge. With so many brands and models, consumers are really spoilt for choice! I always like the fridge with 2-doors side by side type which has lots of compartments and shelves. There is also sufficient space wide enough to accommodate this type of fridge. Now, I am considering which brand I should buy?

2nd Floor Hdb Unit = Sure Bad Feng Shui? Any Remedy?

You are correct! It doesn't mean that you can find a house with 'wang san' and 'wang shui' just because you know feng shui. It has to do with the luck cycle you are currently going through. -
For example, If your career involved water (sailor, marine related business, etc, ), we want the North sector to support these fields. If there is any missing corner, or bad Qi, then your career won't be smooth sailing.

DEMOLITION AFTERMATH - DAY 1 The 'Hacker' at Work in Living room. Photo taken around 2:00pm. Noticed the hoarding on the left of picture? It will be the opening for the new lift ready by Aug 2011. Living Room - looks like war zone. I took this photo when the workers had left for the day. Kitchen - 80% hacked Kitchen & Store - the wall should be down today

We also need to check if our house supports the career you are in. Also equally important is to analyse our Bazi profiling if we are in suitable field.

It seems like I am 'hijacking' most of the posts here. Why not you PM me and I can send you the bunch of materials for your reading pleasure. Please bear with me if my replies come late, as I have been busy like bees with my reno work.

I called OpenNet the other day and I almost flared up when she told me that I cannot remove the terminal box as it belongs to the property of OpenNet, neither can I get them to dismantle and relocate the terminal box within the reno period. The earliest date given was Jan 24, 2011!! In the end, I told them I have only 2 choices: get their man to dismantle within my reno period, or grant me the right to remove by my own! That lady checked with her Technical Officer and later told me that I can proceed to dismantle the terminal box 'if it stands in the way of our renovation', and she will send me the procedure on requirements for subsequent re-installation of the terminal box. Till now, I have not received her email. Anyone has the procedure for my electrician on how to leave the concealed conduit for future splicing? I don't want to take things for granted and assumed the electrician knows what to do. I prefer that I convey exactly what is expected to avoid issues later on when OpenNet comes to reinstall the terminal box.

In Feng Shui, it is all about balance and harmony. Too much of any 5 elements is no good.

I did inform them our reno starts today a week ago. These days, the couple with their 1 and 3 years old sons are staying elsewhere. Incidentally, their relative passed away earlier this week and this family went back to Malaysia. On top of that, our block is carrying out lift upgrading at the same time. The new lift opening is right in front of our units. Hence, with all disruption and noises, they moved out temporary.

I am so excited today as the major hacking and demolition will start any moment now. Initially, HDB granted the permit for all reno items for today, tomorrow and Monday, while pending approval for bringing down those walls at store, kitchen and living room. I called HDB officer on Tues and told him that we have babies staying next door and would like to minimise disruption. He can empathize the situation and told me that he will inform HQ to expedite. Yesterday, I received a call from HDB officer that we got approval for these demolition and erection of walls concurrently. In Feng Shui, everything is about timing. It was coincidence that the permit was applied on an auspicious day!

That 3D drawing is not from Donny. It was originated from the shop where we choosen the tiles. So the drawing is to show me how the actual colour theme for that toilet. ID said if I don't like the color of wall & floor tiles, there is still time allowance to change them. Once I accepted the color scheme, then ID will proceed with his 3D drawings. So, the door reflected in the picture can be ignored. I'm choosing aluminium sliding door with mirror for master toilet, and another wooden door outside. This means I have 2 sliding doors for master toilet.

Picture from White Horse, the shop which ID brings to choose tiles. All tiles are chosen by him, he was browsing and matching over and over again, and once he is satisfied, then only he will ask me to come near him and check with me if I like it or not. Save me the headache! This is the color scheme of floor and wall tiles for the common toilet. While & black wall tiles, dark greyish floor tiles. For the master toilet, but the ID will add 2 rows of mosiac tiles along the darker tone wall tiles. He can't find the right color match, so he said he will choose from elsewhere to match the dark brown panel. Another credit to Donny - really responsible and he does not simply choose what is available in the shop I give Donny another credit: he re-selected the floor tiles of master toilet as he is afraid it may be slippery for me. Wonder if other IDs would have shown such concern or not?
